Hello Adriene and thank you.
What is most difficult for me here is two things :
– the "arch" formed by my middle body is to low for my leg to pass under and have the room to swing to lunge. I'm really pressing away from the mat as high as I can
– when I do it, my back hurts, as if two vertebrae between my shoulder blades pinched together

I hope this explanation gives you a few clues (if it doesn't, I can try and explain differently). Could you help me wolve this ?
Thanks very much !

BLM lover and sellout to the left. Haven’t watched sine but every single day this absolute crap is recommended to me by YouTube. Every single day. Try yogawithdowndog. Real yoga that advances you.

So I am still having problems with this transition. Do you think height plays a role in making the transition? I am 5 feet, 2 inches tall and when I bring my leg inside for that lunge, it stops right about in the middle as if my short arms are not creating enough clearance? Is this something that can be fixed with practice? I love your videos and thank you so much for introducing me to yoga!

My dog definitely doesn’t like it when I do yoga. 😅

Thank you so much for this video… I have almost completed Breath – 30 Day programme (2 days left) and still am unable to get my foot beyond the centre of the mat… Hopefully this video helps 👍 But really love all your sessions. Thanks for making me love Yoga!

I have a hard time getting my foot to land between my hands. I always have to move my hand because knee bumps into my arm. Any tips?

I know this is an old video but I just found the transition and foundations poses. I am heavier and I am somewhat out of shape. I had been doing 10 minutes of yoga daily for several months and am wanting to grow my practice now. I have started the dedicate series that is available. I am always feeling like my breasts are in the way when transitioning. I am excited to have found some practices that will help me strengthen those transitions and complete them properly. Thank you so much for these videos!

Just found you. Love the idea of connecting and moving your core and leg follows…makes so much sense and never heard it explained that way. Got a little sweat on just following along with you…clearly I need to do this more

This is wonderful. Thanks a lot! I was wondering about cobra-plank
transition. I really love your new morning flow and feel this (cobra-plank)
transition is a really weak point (of mine) and am a bit worried about
(somehow) hurting myself:-) Thank you very much for your answer 🙂

See, the problem, I find, is that she doesn't seem to take into account that some of us that use her videos for our practice are "bigger girls", dare I say, fat girls. I own it….I'm not particularly proud of it, but I recognize it, and I'm doing my best to fix it. But….I know she says things like, "everybody's bodies are different", etc., in videos like this, but I don't think she fully understands/comprehends that when you're fat, you have body parts in the way that make it IMPOSSIBLE to physically execute some of these moves, such as this transition from down dog to lunge. When you have a large lower stomach, and big boobs in the way, and are a bit out-of-shape….no….you can't do it…I've tried! She does not have these issues to deal with; so it's not always one's form or center of gravity that's the problem. She does not have a big ol' gut or huge boobs in the way to hinder her! I will continue to use her videos for my practice, I don't have a problem with her personally necessarily, I just wish she would more fully comprehend this problem that a segment of her viewers face when practicing her routines.

Hi
I started with one of your 30 days series and I am loving it. Thank you so much ❤️
I wanted to ask a question in general about yoga… can I practice your yoga videos on my period? do you recommend not doing it at all or only some specific poses during those days?

This is something I've struggled with for so long! Didn't get my foot all the way up but got it closer than I ever have before! Thank you!

This is really helpful – but my big toes are not flexible due to injury. so many transitions rely on the flexibility of the toes. Any suggestions for plank to Down Dog and back?

So glad to find this. Thank you. I’m doing the 30 day programme and have been reminded how I’ve never been able to do this transition. I look forward to mindfully trying this.
