Yoga For Forgiveness | Yoga With Adriene – Yoga With Adriene

by YouTube Team

Inner work comes first. May our yoga unite us and guide the way.

Foster understanding and nurture the process of healing through the practice of forgiveness. This session can support one suffering from anxiety, depression, stress, disappointment, and heartbreak. Our mindful yoga practices can provide us with the powerful tools to learn how to safely work in discomfort, gain control, find empowerment, healing, and growth.

In addition to movement, we take time for contemplation to foster awareness around the power of learning to forgive ourselves and others.

Trust the process.

“We cannot have a healed society, we cannot have change, we cannot have justice, if we do not reclaim and repair the human spirit. ” Rev. angel Kyodo williams

Daily or regular practice cannot only help us learn how to exist and survive inside the journey of process, but it can guide us to do so in a way in which we feel like we are working for ourselves, rather than against.

How are you feeling after today's Forgiveness practice?

LOVED that practice. (Does anyone else have a hard time when Adriene asks in some videos for us to put our right hand on our belly? Really have to fight the discomfort of feeling my stomach…)

Welcome stretch for my back, but it's a hard stretch in that pigeon pose. Thank you for always having our backs, Adriene!

Because of timing issues, I did the humility meditation before my walk and came back to this after. I don't know if it was because I was already very warmed up from the walk and had already worked off excess energy or for some other reason. The flow came so naturally.

This is the second time I’ve done this particular practice of yoga for forgiveness… and both times have sent nausea (this time not as impactful as the first…thank goodness)… but I still smile because it tells me IT’S WORKING! Release those negative toxins!!

Two years ago one lockdown was announced I was caught short , I didn’t really like me I spent so much energy running from myself I was exhausted. Thanks to your practise which I started in desperation , I started stretching learning to breathe , it didn’t get easier but I got stronger learning about the breathe I learnt how to meditate allowing me to cope with things out of my control. I started vibrating from a place of love and things in my personal live got so much better , no longer running my feeling just allowing them to have space . I feel like your a great coach and even better friend .At 50 I’m stronger with more balance and with a sense of love and compassion for myself and others and no matter what the worlds throws at me I hope I can handle it with grace and compassion and love that you taught me . Anytime you come to Melbourne I’d be honoured to share a few magical spots with . Much love and mad respect 🌻🦋🌼🧘‍♂️

I stopped doing regular yoga over a year ago. Something happened that made me fall out of love with my body. On a whim today I found this practice and I actually cried at the beginning. I feel like this is the first step to my healing and this video found me on the day I needed it most. Thank you

Hello Adriene, I was listening with headphones on while doing this practice. I kept hearing a heart beat and it didn’t match my pulse. Just wondering if I was hearing things or if your microphone was picking up your heart beat in the recording?

As a physical therapist by trade I endorse this person–she knows what she is talking about. This week for my own subscribers I talked about forgiveness and kindness–and how it makes you better. In a nutshell forgiveness eventually sets you free–as the adage states. But what they don't tell you is it doesn't just happen the second you try it. And yes there are some things that may be unforgiveable. But the important thing–for you is that you try.
