I couldn't wait to get home from work to watch this. I had a feeling what it was about, and I just don't even know where to begin. I guess first off, I'm with everyone else when they say, you're only human like the rest of us and you have absolutely nothing to apologize for.

The things I want to say, I wish I knew how to put them into words. I wish I could help you to understand the amount of inspiration you give, even when you're not in the gym sweating it out. To know you'd been feeling the way you have breaks my heart for you, because despite not being forward about things, there's no way you're letting people down. We started this with you, and even though you lost track, there's no telling how many people you've inspired to jump into the journey… myself included. And I fell off too for a bit there. I had an accident at work that didn't allow me to train for a good couple of weeks, then the week or so following that, I got sick and couldn't breathe. So I took more time off. I was well into a fourth week of no training and making excuses when I realized how bad I felt. And you know what, or rather who, got me back on track?

You did.

You know, I have a coworker who reads her bible verses every morning, she says it keeps her grounded. Well, you are for me what those bible verses are for her. Every time I hear a notification of a story or post, I take a moment and step to the back to view it, because your content keeps me in check. Not just in fitness but in attitude and energy.

If you just knew the influence you have just being present. A simple story isn't so simple. Some of your stories have manifested my best workouts, and best days and some of those stories didn't even have anything to do with fitness. Just seeing you, your smiling face, and those words of positivity. Knowing now what you were struggling with makes it all the more motivating, and really says a lot about who you are as a person because you were still being so strong for us. It's your well being we care about more than anything else. So you struggled and stumbled a bit. Who hasn't? It's okay to show you're human too. We're still here for you like you're always here for us ❤ Glad to have you back on board with the shred.

Nice to see an on line coach / leader fessing up. Shows the rest of us mere mortals that even the best of us have lapses. Well done Lex and thanks for being transparrent and honest. Intersted in politics at all? We could do with some honest leaders both there in the UK and here in the US.

Would be interested in a video covering a bulking diet now we're going into the cooler months. Won't need the beach bod for another six months so we have some time to get gain some muscle.

You are human. Thank you for being honest a out it. I've been following and am at my lowest weight in 3 years but have had a bad week twice. I know its not ok but I'm glad that you are not perfect all of the time. It makes me feel less shitty. And more inspired that i can reach my goals. Keep the co tent coming!

I predicted that fall few videos back in your comments 🙂 saying videos are turning more and more gay 😀
It predicts a fall of a man and his integrity when he becomes too vain and self concerned.. way out is to see that most people suffer and starve and how well we do compared to 99% and to understand that others are more, we only one so it makes all the sense to take more interest in others than our Egos. Then we have jobs not pain. Talking too much care of oneself is very short sighted solution and leads to weakness and putting too much energy to problems that are not real problems only perceived problems. Happy recovery and high test level 🙂

I had the exact same thing when I traveled europe last month, I got sick for 2 weeks, fever, flu, couldn't stop coughing and I wasn't training anymore I was eating crap but here we are after 2 weeks back at home, back on track, the shape is back, the energy levels is high, very motivated. I think sometimes it's good to have these moments because I feel more and more productive afterward. Good to hear that it happens to everyone !

Been thru covid? Shits just starting here in Cali. They officially sent out notices everyone has to get the vaccine by nov 30th or be terminated. People are leaving jobs left and right. And those that want to work but not get vaccinated will be jobless just in time for the holidays. Which, hilariously they think these people will stick around to work Black Friday and then be assed out of a job just a few days later. Smh. This world is a shit show. You taking off track is what makes you more then just a “perfect” influencer. It’s what makes you relatable. And of course fucking awesome. We all aspire to be perfect all the time. But life keeps throwing us curve balls, it’s about how many times we get back up that really counts.

yo the thumbnail you literally just look like you got a pump in the left picture 😀 lol and i agree w ya man. bodybuilding is like body dysmorphia on crack. you'll never be satisifed and the highs are huge, but the lows are just as low ya know? been working towards putting off this 20 lbs and its a fucking grind, but we'll get there. >:D

I think, when it comes to NOT feeling like training, it's just phases. I know it's a good habit, I like training, and I know that whenever I don't I just build anxiety and ends up in panic attacks XD. So I know it's a MUST. What I do, is just go, ask the mind to stfu and let the body do what it knows how to. It will be harder, but I know it's just a phase (I don't even try to rush through it). Actually, I feel as if I were one of those prisoners breaking stones, singing a low-pitched blues… but at the end of the training session I'm always glad I trained. I don't compare it to when I'm motivated, just ask the mind to 'kindly' stay away from it

After a 10 year relationship I can definitely compare falling of my routine is very disappointing and just makes you feel hopeless and ashamed. But I realized it doesn't matter if you have lacked in your routine where only human where real people and not Robot's even we like to think we are and realising that the gym is not just for gains it actually helps me with my mental health and starting to realize what's important. Now am starting to understand when a older person says one day at a time son. 🤔😊. Love this video Lex 🙌
