Why I Choose To Stay Natural – OmarIsuf

I’ve been lifting now for about 10 years. And in ways I’ve made more progress than I ever thought I would. I didn’t start out thinking I could deadlift 600lb. But that’s training to me. It is a continuous process of self improvement. It’s a long, never ending road of personal refinement.

And it weeds out over time the people that aren’t serious. Everyone can celebrate their newbie gains when every week you are doing more reps, more weight. That’s easy. But lifting reveals its true character building qualities when you are willing to dedicate years to a craft just to get a few extra pounds on the bar.

Some people might find the journey of a natural lifter uninspiring. And I can see this if you compare a natural’s progress to someone who is not and just look at numbers. But its not just about numbers. It is about beating the old version of yourself.

Cultivating the dedication and sustaining the desire to overcome what you couldn’t before. You see, to me lifting is really a battle against entropy, the gradual decline that will happen to us all. Every single one of us. No one escapes death but we can try to be as robust as possible. As resilient, as anti-fragile.

No matter what, there will come a day in my lifting journey when I have hit my last new PR, built my last pound of muscle and have reached my peak. We all must face that reality. But today is not that day.

Today I do what I couldn’t previously do before.

It's a great achievement. I hit a natty pr of 305 when I was 36. I flared my elbows (as it appears you did here). Bad form is the compensating for weakness. That, coupled with ignorantly doing dumbbell butterflies, I injured my shoulder. I've been working out on and off for about 35 years and bro form causing injuries have set me back every time. Now, I'm much more into weighing out the risk to reward ratio and making smarter decisions, seeking out the best and most helpful information from great fitness experts here on Googtube. Omar, Keep doing things right, honest and smart.

What is going on with that Yo Elliot character???

Being natural you can look at yourself in the mirror and know you did not cheat. Your gains no matter how small, compared to a pumped up junkie is your own. You have a sense of pride reaching a goal. I have never been able to understand why humans will stick a needle in themselves, rather than work really hard and be patient. Unless you are a professional and competing for several thousands of dollars. Then l can understand but still not agree.

You thrilled or inspired noone. In life what matters is the result. Doing steroids gives better results. In every aspect of life, results are everything. Unfortunately, of course. Romanticism is for the inferior, reality is for the tough. Either way, when you don't have the result, you are miserable. Now, to make things more unfair there's something called nature. And the misery amplifies.

I searched for "Omarisuf fight to survive" but didn't find anything.
