Most guys in the gym only focus on upper traps when training. I mean, why wouldn’t you? The upper traps are the most visible and are what make your “most muscular” pose look HUGE! But your traps are not just whats located around your neck, in fact they continue down your entire back and are greatly responsible for stabilizing your spine during a lot of your heaviest lifts.
But what exercises best target the traps? Or should you just incorporate as many as you can? Well, that greatly depends on your workout program structure. You only have so much time in the gym and if you want to maximize your training, you need to get a bit more creative to ensure your traps are trained properly. Techniques like supersets can really help and in today’s video we will not only go over form variations for each exercise, but how to incorporate them into your training whether you program is FULL BODY or a traditional BRO-SPLIT.

Switching back to BRO-SPLITS has given me back the edge I lost with my training. I have plenty of time to hit each muscle group with enough volume to see progress and I'm already back to a solid 190lbs. But the best part is that I'm able to fit in more exercises per bodypart, like the Rack Pull and Shrugs, when training traps and shoulders. I felt so limited when I was training Full Body. Don't get me wrong, Full Body is a great way to train and you will see a lot of progress. But at least for me, I got to a point where I needed more volume per bodypart in my routines to see more growth.
What kind of split are you guys training with now? Would love to hear more about your training for ideas for future videos!

I've been playing guitar/bass I'm bands for 20+ years now and my left trap bigger than my right (so much so I named my band TRAPS). I want my right to be the same size but I have no idea how to compete with 20 years of accidental left trap training. When I was a kid, I'd play for 5 hours a day as well.
Should I specifically work on my right or just continue both as normal?

rack pulls is unnecessary at least for me. Deadlifts,Dumbell shurgs, and Barbell shrugs, and rowing is all I needed to build big ass traps
