I agree, I think a vacuum pose should be mandatory. It would clearly define the classic physique. Otherwise you'll just get a smaller version of the mass monsters. I believe there certainly can be too much muscle on a frame. I lost interest years ago, due to the "mass is king" mentality. IMO, its unhealthy and not a good look. When classic physique became a class, suddenly I'm interested again. Aesthetics matter!

Great video! I just decided that I wanted to get into classic rather than men’s physique! I’m hoping another 2 years I can do my first show. I also agree with the height opinion. I’m 6’ 4” so I feel like going into classic would be a better frame for me. Again great video!

Bigger isn't always better. At a certain size it just doesn't look good. Smaller more efficient physiques can actually be more aesthetic. Arnold and Frank Zane have never gone out of style or became irrelevant.

I think that judging makes it a classic decision but they arent judging for the right thing

Vacuum pose is bs because you don't see abdominals

The vaccum should definitely be an official golden era pose and the bodybuilders should give one pose at a time to better judge.

Nick strength and power I don’t like the classic physique competition because it lacks originality and we have seen it before. Don’t get me wrong I would love to look like them but what made Dorian Yates stand out was due to the fact that no one had ever seen that before in bodybuilding. That’s why the men’s open will always be better because there is no limit. I’d rather watch a competition filled with unique physiques than watch the frank zane competition

Just have them do the same poses they did in the 70s

There's this pose where they spread one lat & flex bicep on the other hand, it seems to be one that shows almost the whole body strucure, looking at the biceps pick, the width on lats, smallness of waist, ooh! and again it also shows well the size of the quads 💪💪💪

I don't know why nobody says Breon, damn, Breon is the king, the definition of classic is Breon, maybe chris has a better shape but men, come on, classic shape is not the total point, WINNER is one who has the COMPLETE PACKAGE

I think Frank Zane is the definition of classic. All about the lines and aesthetics. Balance… something that open division is completely void of.

Hey Nick, if Eugene Sandow in his prime were to enter in to a Classic Physique competition, how do you think he would do?
