I just started watching this guy on YouTube before this was posted. He is very detailed in what he does which is awesome. He has a crazy good physique.
I think I'm starting to get it.
Because I paused the video and did my own breakdown and alot of what I said and pointed out is what Nick said.
I see it now. The “blockyness”. I couldn’t see it before.
Wesley has a great physique, but he is actually NOT a good poser. He doesn't pose in a way that flatters his physique. He doesn't do the slight tilt to improve aesthetics and so on that everyone does. Also, he needs to bring his traps DOWN somewhat (makes him look blocky), and work on his hamstrings and glutes. And obviously wear different posing trunks.
He obviously had a good shape, but he kinda pose like bodybuilder, and pose like this will make his large waste more large
I think Wesley's physique looks great, i think Chris def wins still. So im not saying he shouldve gotten 1st, but he shouldve placed higher

Wesley is true the the vintage look, absolutely would be a beast in the 70’s. But with what our current classic physique look now, he should put the size on the legs and calves. Really build that sweep and mass. I’d love to see how he develops

Wesley just needs to beef up the hamstrings and quad sweep a bit + bring the conditioning and he will dethrone Chris. I have no doubt about it.

Wesley looks alot more classic then Chris. Chris might look "better" from a bodybuilder stand point but chris looks more classic for sure. Looks alot more like Arnold which is as classic as it can get. Chris looks "modern" not "classic", hes way ahead of the bodybuilders from the 70s in terms of grainy muscle and conditioning. Thats just a fact even if we can be fans of the golden eara things has evolved.
Ya I think trunks and a bit more nailing the conditioning and a few areas and he’s top 5 for sure
I honestly think Wesley has a better physique, no doubt about it. He has full length arm peaks and triceps, as where c-bum has just sectional peaks. Their shoulders and calves are almost paralleled. Back is close, with Wesley having a bit more of a classic tone. If you measured both their waists, you'd see they're close as hell, Wesley just obviously didn't adapt to a vacuum stomach while posing. It's the last thing you should do when you focus and tighten your posing technique, but a critical one. The only clear and unmatched defeat bumstead has over Wesley is his hamstrings. Noted though, that Wes's chest looks twice bumstead's size when throwing that double bicep pose, which should really overcome a hammy deficiency. He should've been about 6th or 7th still, and the judges are always lobbied, we all know.

He does not twist enough in almost all of the poses
I would suggest to follow Arnold's example and slightly turn his waist to one side to make it look smaller. He does not seem to be doing that yet he does all the other poses that Arnold was known for.
I think the fact that Chris obviously has three times the penis makes a huge difference. Look at the picture it's legit. Visser is a peanut brother.
Wesley doesn't fit in anywhere his physique is not what it needs to be and It has to do with bone structure. He will never play top three. And why the f*** are we talking about this guy?
Wesley must improve his legs more, Chris's is way better, and he needs to change those trunks, made the same mistake last year with that, didn't change them tho…
it's not the first time wesley has a trunk issue, nothing got fixed to date
