Travel Yoga: Side Body Sequence – Yoga With Adriene

by YouTube Team

In this episode Adriene shares a mindful practice for opening up the side body, checking in with your center, and awakening & strengthening the body. Whether you have been traveling, healing from an injury or just in need of a rejuvenating sequence to wake up the body to sensation – this Hatha Yoga practice is a nice blend for all levels. Adriene reminds us to stretch it out, to slow down and to notice the sensations of the body. She encourages you to honor the breath and to get the most out of our movement. Take the time to check in with your body and give it some love. “Find what feels good!”

As part of the creativity month I hadn’t thought this would push me but it did (yay!) The video did skip, but I found what felt good and did my own thing and rejoined further in.

I have been doing #yogawithadriene #everydamnday for four months now. Every time I have to side planks, I yell fuss and cuss at the iPad. Today, I fell going down a wooden ramp that was wet from the rain and fell really weird and my hip hurt like hell. How did I get up? I turned into a SIDE PLANK rolled into a three legged dog then walked my hands to my foot then used the rail to come up. Maybe I should stop yelling at you every time you say side plank 😀

Definitely found this video a little too jumbled to follow but I went into my own groove instead 😉

Thank you Adriene. You really do change my life in such wonderful ways. Probably for me, it's your encouragement and acceptance, both of which lead me happily to my mat each morning. Namaste

this is the only video so far I was frustrated with. I was loving the stretch but then had serious stress with the silent moving. So much so that I would ask you please to edit. The poses are valuable but I was so tempted to quit when I had to look and you were way not doing where your voice left us. sadness. 🙁

I like when the sequence goes from hands& knees to personal creative time. However, it would be nice to have a prompt before and after that time.

I was looking for a short flow and wasn't disappointed. That was still challenging. I feel good and ready to flow into my day! Thank you Adriene!

some of the comments here are a little pernickity and even excessively demanding. First we all know a video made on the road will be different to a video made in a studio. see yall in downward facing dog. Peace and love

I wouldn't recommend this session. The sound is poor and even cuts out for a while. Very hard to follow. If you're just discovering Adrienne, try another video. She's great.

I think this video should be re-edited/re-filmed, it doesn't make sense in places, I don't think it should be included in any calendars in the future. It's left me a little frustrated

I remember a time when I couldn't be bothered with yoga, because I thought it was "just stretching." 🙄😂

I love how even though it is a side body stretch you think about the wrists and plant the suggestion of rotating them. Great idea! I also love your use of the words "spiral" and "plugging in." Your language is so precise.

Side Body Flow – Yoga With Adriene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35sXNGzN5-A&t=256s was on my list to try, but my search brought me to this one instead. It's an oldie but a goodie. It was awesome to see how much your videos have grown. I like that it was outside and I couldn't tell if the chimes were coming from the video or my own as my windows were open. But I do need to try the other one! Thank you for all you do for us!
