Man Scotty I've been adding in the burn sets to all the workouts at the end on the last set and man does it really make a difference. One hell of a pump and an awesome way to fatigue the muscles.

I truly believe it will work well Scott. Like in some of your other videos, you suggest that if you MUST cheat on the last few reps of the last set to finish, you are definitely working hard. I follow that rule every day to try to get better. You don't have to be only Jedi or Sith.

usually i try to use a lot more volume mostly for strength but it's also really good for growth. Every compound it's high volume but usually the every set except the last i use the best form possible and focus on the exact muscle except the last reps i cheat but still focus as much as possible. This cheating allows more muscle fibers to tier because of those last few cheated reps which are better than none. For instance with seated cable row i will have perfect form. Last 3 reps i swing slightly but just enough to get the weight to a reasonable squeeze right the way back. In my mind this is like spotting and a major benefit is the awesome negative you can get. This works best for me and my body responds to it really well. might not for other but i don't know.

this is exactly what I think. you didn't figure out the right way to do cheat reps superset with lighter reps. been doing it for ten years with proper form full range of motion. using momentum to overload the top of contraction and mainly the negative has been around since moses

I was searching cheat reps because I had the same realization. It just makes sense to go to failure and then cheat by whatever means possible to push out some extra reps. It's the same logic as having a spotter help you through those last reps and push you beyond failure or doing drop sets. A person might only be able to do 3 sets at x weight. but why not take that a step further and do a drop set after and keep going? It's logically sound.

People praise compound exercises yet when it comes to a curl, we should be using proper form all the way? If you're cheating on a curl you're probably making it a compound exercise to achieve said curl and pushing to go above and beyond. It's not like your muscle says hey you cheated that rep and I'm not gonna grow because of it. Only you will know if your actually cheating yourself or not.
