I've ridden a Percheron (descended from an old knightly war horse breed) at canter half a dozen times and it felt like flying 2200 pounds of bone and muscle 10 feet above the earth at 30 miles an hour. Dealing and absorbing hits at that mass and speed must require and develop a lot of strength. Riding without the 50 pound suit and the combat was scary enough for me.
Maybe check out the Percheron. They're big, strong, ripped athletes that have competed over the centuries in combat, speed and agility sports (jousting, jumping, dressage, & hunting) and in hauling heavy weights since they're strong as "F*". They've been great co-travelers with us humans since latter antiquity, and given your interests I bet you'd love them.
Omar bro, I'm sure you can make an hour long video on this subject. I've followed you on this journey and watched you walk down that road. Unfortunately, what most don't understand is that it is in fact a lifetime journey of self discovery. Thank you for being an inspiration
My advice would be find foods that are healthy that u can eat alot of to stay full that are low in cal. Like chicken salad oatmeal etc. It'll be easier then going hungry all the time or not following your lean/cutting diet. Also find workouts that u enjoy ot switch up your workout so your not doing the same thing over and over so u don't get bored and stick with it. Also for sum ppl don't kill yourself in the gym workout hard and be effective but don't kill yourself you'll be more likely to keep coming back and will recover faster not punishing ur self every session. Lastly consistency is damn near eveything think longer term.. For example if ur lean or trying to get lean and u decide to eat McDonald's for a meal or 2 meals it's not that end of the world in fact ur body may actually use that effectively bc u hadn't had junk food in a while bit either way it's not gonna make or break ur goal/physique at all if u go back to ur plan. I preach for diet/ working out think longterm and do things your gonna stick with over a long period of time bc that's the most important thing by alot.

Thanks for this. I'd def recommend getting a smartwatch if possible. The apps are super useful. I can track steps, sleep quality, resting HR (a good proxy for BMR), and calories in/out (out is kind of garbage but in + scale ~ calories out). Doesnt have to be expensive either. I've had good (read: ACCURATE) smartwatches that were like $50 and shit smartwatches that were hundreds of dollars. Accuracy is key
#OmarIsuf , please could you do a commentary on "Creatine use affecting Grip" within powerlifting due to water retention? This has been discussed recently in the #Armwrestling community and your thoughts within the #StrengthSports community would be appreciated 👍 https://youtu.be/5WPNs7hM_uw
Habits that make me lean down easily; 1 – eating when hungry 2 – lots of NEAT 3 – eat enough and healthy. Then occasionnal alcochol or black chocolate or syrup on pancakes dont make a big difference for meif the first 3 are practiced, im getting in a better shape.
Once I realized that a pound of fat wasn’t really 3500 calories I stopped under eating by so much on a cut. I was able to actually lift weights with intensity and live a normal life while losing fat.
Oh shit!! I forgot about this guy hes great haven't seen a video of his for like 6 years glad to see he's still making content he's great and knows his shit

Can't stop thinking about the weird line that is crossing across your abs.
I learned to love potatoes and that alone is making the diet so much easier

Depends on your genetics but being single digit doesn’t look as good anyway. 11-13% looks best if you have enough muscle
Thanks for this video I needed to hear that!
Fuck me medieval knights training programme sounds like a kinobody sales pitch ? What the hell is cracking here

Whi is that tampon on your head?
The worst part of dieting/cutting is losing strength.
The best part is feeling good and not being out of breath taking a shit or walking the dog.
Lean = low T.
A lot of talking, without saying much.
Are you main-gaining year round? How do you build muscle, body fat wise?
Motivation helps you get started, but behaviors help you get your goals. Great advice Omar!
