I think the most unbearable pain is hitting leg day the first time ever in your life. Honestly I can really agree with you on the point about not feeling like you are hitting the muscles properly, I've been having that kind of issue with my triceps surprisingly. I can lift pretty heavy but it's been so long since I remembered what it feels like to be sore on those muscles. It's crazy with all the years of training the new things you can still learn.

I've been trying the cheat and recovers for the past couple of weeks and I've been not entirely too happy with some it. I REALLY enjoy the arms and back days, but all the other target groups I think I may not be getting the full benefit to it. Essentially what I aim for by the end of the work out is can I do a push up? Or can I do a few squats? (for chest day or leg day of course!) And so far the answer is no, so I think the intensity is right, but maybe the execution needs help? Or maybe 3 weeks isn't long enough to feel the benefits? What do you think? Should I tough it out for a couple more weeks to see if that changes? Maybe do the cheat and recovers for the stuff I'm enjoying? I appreciate your insight! Thanks a bunch!

sir,, i am working out from 4 months should i lift heavy weight with low reps or normal weight with 12,14 reps

I saw someone posting about a study done by Andrew vigotsky where they used emg to test for upper trap activation during heavy or light shrugs and it was found that the heavier the weight the less the upper traps were used and the more the levator scapulae came in to play instead which suggested that lighter higher rep trap work would be better, what are your thoughts on this?
