Reg Park was a bodybuilder that competed in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. He was also the bodybuilder that inspired Arnold to pursue Hollywood.

Shout out to nick strength and power. I met him today at the gym and I was not disappointed. Real humble guy
Can Mike Hunt be a bodybuilder?
I will get the papers ready to sue Reg Park for inspiring someone that is better than Phil.
Other than Arnold, Steve Reeves was the most successful bodybuilder turned actor. He is still the best Hercules.
Wow, I never knew Arnold beat Reg.
Actually, Arnold was the future Reg Park.
awsome video! I never heard about Reg. Great job in making this video.
Nick, Steve Reeves actually was the first bodybuilder to star in "muscle" movies. Jail Bait, Athena and Hercules (Italy) were some movies the featured Reeves. Reg was second to be cast as Hercules He and Reeves and a few others like Ed Fury, Reg Lewis that portrayed Hercules, Samson, Atlas, Tarzan and other men of folklore that were said to be muscular & strong.
Do a video on John Grimek, first Mr. Universe on the 20th Anniversary of his passing on 11-20-2018
Who was stronger Arnold Schwarzenegger or Frank Zane??
Reg could bench 500 .before drugs! and with a physique.
Nick if someone doing gym encounter with Nf( Night fall) after every 5 day then how it can cope up with this problem..
Obviously bodybuilders from "The Golden Age" had enhancement help. Clearly time hasn't been good to Arnold but he seems to be waking up after heart surgery. However the physiques of Arnold's Time and before were amazing. Zane! Today is pretty freaky and I have a hard time believing these guys are doing themselves any favors.
Arnold is best
As far as bodybuilders crossing over into Hollywood…. I guess you forgot Steve Reeves. Mr. America 1947, Mr. World 1948, Mr. Universe 1950. Steve and Reg competed against each other during that time period. Reeves hit the big screen many years before Park did (he played Hercules many years before Park and at one time was the highest paid movie star in Europe).
Thanks for sharing this dude 💪🏻❤️
Thanks! Nick, for all your great uploading

Arnold is |||||||✊|——-|✊|||||||
Número 1 in BobyBuilding! 👍 & in
Movies 🎥 Politics 📚 Etc. ✍️
blablabla
Obviously not identical but very similar body types….. spooky
I read my first BB magazine in 1967, that included a pic that you present, that with Park dressed and Arnold with the "W" shirt on, while talking. At those times, Park was ALWAYS portrayed in every single issue of all magazines, that's to say that he was a very prominent BB, awareded the respect he deserved. What I mean is that he was not underestimated – as you seem to suggest – but he simply missed the beginning of the golden age, so others enjoyed in his place the spotlights that were switched off till the day before. But, be sure, Park has been a clear and clean reference throughout the '50s and '60s, and everybody knew him very well (as well as Bill Pearl).
Cheers.
I wish beer acted like steroids. I'd be a big as Arnold.
Unfortunately Arnold went on to sell out humanity from there. As much as he initially inspired me to start weightlifting, I have less than zero respect for him now.
STEROIDS
Was Reg a steroid user ?
Not true. Arnold was inspired by Mike O’Hearn who invented both bodybuilding and the incline bench press.
Reg Park
Imagine being the man who inspired the great arnie!
That in itself is amazing. Shows how ahead parks was in His day. One great passing the torch to arguably the greatest!!
I wonder if that little boy at 3:19 is a bodybuilder now🤔
He had his calves implants there too.
Reg Park was one of the few bodybuilders who was able to bench press 500 lbs in his heyday…
Great work. I’m a middle aged guy who still lifts…. my inspiration for lifting was due to Arnold, Franco, Zane, Mentzer and Samir Bannout. I think Lee Haney was the last of the ‘classic era’ bodybuilders with a very narrow waist and broad shoulders without the ninja-turtle belly – essentially ( with a couple of exceptions…) the last of the somewhat human-looking Mr. Olympia’s. Having a great physique with big muscles, aesthetics, symmetry – and to be functional – is where it’s at. What I see out there now…. just looks way too risky – in terms of ones health and longevity – to want to aspire to for younger lifters.
But hey, call it sour grapes or ‘being salty’ after being in my prime…. I’m just a 50-something guy who likes to lift…. but I can see how what the sport has become tends to turn off 90% of the public these days.
To your health. 💪🏼🙏🏻✌🏻
Смотрю, подкачиваюсь, снимаю
Love and respect Reg Park. One thing about the man was how much he loved his wife and kids. This, Arnold was very impressed by. Also, Reg was a power lifter to be recognized in his time. He and some other fellow at one time were the only two in the world to have bench pressed 500 pounds or more. Man, if I had Reg's chest. Better than Arnold's.
some of them are already died.:( sad life
Make a video about bill pearl
Let's see how sharp you guys are out there – question #1 who knows who the young man standing
behind Arnold is at 3:23 ?
Question #2 What would he become famous for?
Reg Park was the poor man’s Steve Reeves … Reeves was a bonafide movie star in the late 1950s and early 1960s though his movies were made out of Italy rather than Hollywood…Park was the Jayne Mansfield of his era while Reeves was Marilyn Monroe!
Park also went to live in apartheid era South Africa living off a system of extreme white privilege.. he certainly was no great role model…
The ancient time of bodybuilding
For me was Steve reeves
Steve Reeves was the first bodybuilding Hercules! Reeves also inspired Arnold. Steve made many more movies than Reg did.
Awesome
Golden era, indeed! Reg Park was THE shit back in the day!
Good work
Did he just say that Arnold was handsome?
They look like brothers.
Awesome amazing beautiful people amazing beautiful places
Thank you for posting this great video! I was 22 when I read Education of a Body Builder..Great book for anyone needing clear direction on achieving goals and moving one's life forward..We all need that mentor and inspiration in life..Reg Park was Arnold's blueprint for success
Reg arms were 18.5 inches arms and Arnold have max arms of 20.1 inches not more that please video on this also nick
Great footage. Great job editing.
Even Arnold looked up to another for inspiration
