Sorry but everyone knows you gotta be fat to be strong.

It's off-season though. They will still put on weight for comps.

I don't know if there healthier but at least they look better. No heavy breath and sweeting just from walking to the platform.

It follows the trend of lots of moving events and less static events lately. Trust me strongmen really dont give a f about bb.

How are they stripping the weight and keeping their strength?

If you listen to them, they all talk about potential tv/movie work. Even Larry Wheels who's up and coming makes reference to hopefully finding Hollywood work. I think Eddie Hall said he was doing acting lessons. Makes sense to me. Some of these guys have interesting looks for camera.

I think getting ripped is unnecessary but I'm happy that strongmen are trying to stay in healthy parameters.
Hafthor is actually a good example.

This will all come down to the events. Those guys were huge through necessity, its all useable weight. If strong man goes back to a few years ago, 10 maybe, it was focused around speed as much as raw power. The last few years, with the real giants has been focused on static strength a little more.

And what about Larry Wheels?

This is actually a nice example diet versus steroids. Anytime someone is shredded and looks good people always scream tren winstrol etc. A lot of these dudes have always been on gear and the difference between them fat and them lean now is diet. Not tren. Not winstrol. Not hgh. No amount of gear will outdo poor diet.

Eddie has said when he won wsm and did the half ton deadlift he was up to 30+ stone and was the heaviest man in the uk.
Doctors where advising him constantly to lose weight because of his health, but he knew he had to keep the weight on to win and make that lift. He said quote “when competing against giants like Brian Shaw and Thor, i knew i had to become a giant too”

I don't know about enhanced lifters, but I think their strength levels would take a huge hit.

Now it looks like Instagram culture is getting into more and more people IMO.

Can only be a good thing. If they lose wthe weight too quickly and still compete then thats a recipe for disaster but these are guys who know what they are doing and hopefully there will be fewer deaths in the sport. Although one could argue than in the WWF/WWE they have had a staggering amount of deaths, people with exceptional physiques but then the rumours are that the WWE out of the ring lifestyle is a pretty horrendous one. Who knows but I think anyone who has a massive bedyfat getting rid of the lard should be commended and it cannot be a bad thing for both their health and young fans

Athleticism is becoming more important for a lot of events, so instead of being like Eddie hall in 2017 where they could barely run but could pull 500kg on a dead lift they want to be able to have mobility.

Is it only me that realised that he said “Eddie Hall the most recent WSM winner 2017, regarding this video” and then saying “then a guy like Thor winner of 2018 WSM”

I liked Hafthor a lot, mainly because for me he was the evidence that you don't have to be a massive fat ass but can also look kinda shredded while being one of the strongest men
