your feet have absolutely no support, there for you can cause many problems in your feet, they are terrible for your feet, i suggest asics
by definition a shoe cannot be a barefoot shoe, because there's no barefoot. minimalist is the term.
second, while it's great you mentioned a midfoot/forefoot gait. for heel-strikers, they will need to convert their stride and learn how to run differently. it's also important to stretch the calves (and other foot exercises) when switching to a minimalist shoe. removing the heel rise that you may have in a typical running shoe can be a shock to the calves/muscular chain if done too abruptly.
