I deadlift 190kg whatever that is in pounds I only weigh 70kg and I refuse to use a belt I feel it's cheating and will impact hypertrophy, I do however feel if your ultimate goal is to lift as heavy as possible the belt is the way to go

I’m realizing I shouldn’t be using a belt as often as I do 🙁 my 1 rep max is only 195 so I’m thinking maybe I should wait till I hit like 250?

As a woman (150-160lbs) about what weight, could I deadlift and use a belt without humiliating myself by using the belt. My max deadlift right now is 207, 4 reps. I feel like maybe I could do more if I worked on my core and form. Don't want to use a belt too soon and look like a weenie

I squat 115kg and deadlift 130kg. I’ve never used belts at the gym cos they never fit my waist. Do I need belt?

I just started using a belt as I have just started deadlifting seriously, once i could lift about double body weight. I woulda felt pretty dumb using a belt b4. there are several folk at my gym that lift puny weight and use a belt, they just look silly.

I am a woman who just started working in stock (manual labour work). I've notice that I don't lift properly and it makes me sore. I was thinking a lifting belt would help me correct my posture and prevent injuries but you said that won't work. What would you recommend?

So I’m a 120lb female getting close to 200lbs on deadlift and squats for around 5 reps each, should I start wearing a belt or at around what weight should I do so?
