His father has superior aesthetics, better arms, fuller chest and a small tapered waist. Jr looks good but it’s not close.

He really doesn't look like Olympia material. Too thick in the gut. This makes both his legs and back look small. Weak arms.

Reply
Brett Johnson October 14, 2018 - 9:21 pm

I agree nick. Sergio jr. need to bring up the overall back with size, shape, thickness and condition along with his legs

Sergio really needs to get his arms bigger. I know that's easier said than done, but all the Mr Olympia contenders have huge arms and Sergio doesn't as yet. If it was me, I'd skip next year's Olympia and work on that.

Jr. needs to stop doing his dad's signature victory pose. His body doesn't do it justice. Find your own pose Jr.

Sergio Oliva is in a Class by Himself. His son looks okay he's a decent Pro but nothing compared to his father.

Jr. should go down to CLASSIC. Bring up his back and calves like his father had, slice and dice for a super "high quality" physique and he will do very well. Not only that but he will bring the CLASSIC category more popularity. Best of luck to JR.

OK, he's not his dad – but who is? Sergio Jnr has some good things going for him. Nice proportions, and good separations. He did win the 2017 NY Pro over John Delarosa and Juan Morel, so he's no slouch! If he can add some mass to certain areas and keep his widish waist the same, he could actually be very good. The trouble is that since his NY Pro win, he hasn't grown at all, and seems to have regressed in fact? I hope he keeps at it and can find a good coach to help him realize his potential.

the juniors belly is a joke, his father had the best waist/back relation in bodybuilding history

Reply
Jack Frostie October 27, 2019 - 12:56 pm

Sergio Oliva jr. just does not carry the same structural genetics from his father same goes for muscle insertions. I am not saying he is bad but he is nowhere near as good as his father genetics wise.

He really need to put a vacuum for his waist … Its too big, destroying the all flaw. Just a basic hardcore bodybuiler of nowadays ..

I don't see him winning the Arnold Classic
in 2020 nor The Mr. Olympia Title!

He just don't have the potential or
the hunger to become a Real Winner
Like his Dad!

To succeed in life! We need to Love
what we do and be Passionate about it +
be Real Real Hungry!

Good luck Sergio Jr.
