Since adding this movement to my “DUMBEST EXERCISES” list I’ve since done some more research on it after reading comments from all of you saying it can be effective when used properly.
I love engaging with all of you so I took your advice and found out some interesting facts about this exercises that I think you’ll all enjoy. The key to fitness is having an open mind, that’s what I believe makes a good coach a great coach.

ITS GAAAAAAAHBAGE
Scott you are the best! Not only because you are open minded but also because you play Dokkan Battle
I do sets with 6 seated then 6 standing for example. It's a great starter
Take your book and stick it up your ass. Take your head off your ass and then you can state that you re open minded
This is really good. When i do biceps curls, i notice that other parts of arms get tired too soon, before the biceps, because i am begginer and doing it wrong
Que güero tan sabroso 😋
Wicked smaat video.
What's wrong in performing a "full" barbell curl and having both radialis and brachiradialis involved in the motion and fatigued a little before the biceps? I think every basic barbell exercise must be a "global" exercise.. there are a lot of other isolation exercises involving only biceps…. anyway, I never performed a drag biceps curl and started to try it after your suggestion… I had immediate benefits.. it was something new and helped me to "confuse" and fatigue my biceps in a new manner. Regardind the shoulders involvement in the drag curl, i learned to pack my shoulders exactly as you suggest in other exercise (Deadlift, Bench Press). To me, suffering of both rotator cuffs pains, the shoulders packings is a miraculous trick!!!
Whatever may be the name of the exercise but in sitting barbell biceps curls , you can lift heavy curls and do more reps easily.
Because in full range of motions..
the brachialis and the brachioradialies muscle work on the bottom half , and the biceps( long short head) muscles works on the top half.
As U said the lower half are the hardest part to lift.
Cause in this lower half the brachialis and the brachioradialies muscles work, and these muscles are weaker than the biceps ( long short head ) muscles.
Therefore the brachialis and brachioradialies muscles becomes fatigue faster than the biceps muscles. while doing the standing biceps curls
So , sitting barbell curls is a top half range of motion exercise, which the biceps ( long, short head) muscles only world on it..
leading to build a huge biceps .
Scott Herman >>>> Jim stopanni his PHD don’t mean shit !
You know you've been watching Scott for a while when you understand exactly everything he is talking about in this video.
When you spoke about beginner gym-goers and fatiguing in the wrong muscles first – so true! Try to deadlift and I feel like I could do a much heavier weight if it weren't for my weak ass grip! Same for pull ups, my back feels fine but my hands be slipping off! So reassuring to hear it gets better
Jim Stoppani is full of crap though. He states in all his vids you need his bcaas
Dumb or smaahht

Your videos are so great!!
I wish i was Bostonion so i could get an accent like that.
Bahhbell
bro, you just molested yourself with that bar but good explanation of drag curl though!
Subscribed to the channel just for the fact that you are an open minded person
Your videos are very informative. This is the second video I watched but in each you have the camera man filming from the side or an angle instead of straight on. It's hard for us to know how to do proper form if you're not showing us straight on.
A lot of the worlds best arm wrestlers use the seated EZ curl. To that end it is a function specific exercise to build strength in the required range of motion and take the lower body out of the movement. So when anyone says it's useless, you need to ask the question 'useless for what'?
the point of this exercise is stopping and inch before barbell touches your lap and keep bar close to your body and squeeze at the top… you eliminate momentum. i usually do this as a finisher last bicep exercise and do failure sets… the pump is insane
Appreciate the in depth research on this!
what if i have backpain and i seat.
