Does this change your opinion on whether or not to take anabolic steroids? For me being someone who already had no intention of using steroids, this information pushes me even further in that corner.
What about you?
Note: Out of the 243 individuals, some were given a placebo and some actual testosterone. The individuals didn't know what they received. So the whole correlation vs causation argument doesn't really hold up here. Both groups were tested (placebo vs actual testosterone) and those that received testosterone performed worse. Additionally "The effect remained after we controlled for age, mood, math skills, whether participants believed they had received the placebo or testosterone, and the effects of 14 additional hormones, and it held for each of the CRT questions in isolation."
For those asking questions about the study, check it out here (most of the questions below will be answered): http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/0956797617709592
This is why those guys are called 'meatheads'. Because that's all their head is good for. Actually, lifting weights naturally and cardio enhance your intelligence. But any sort of bodybuilding is just not a healthy lifestyle. It has nothing to do with health.
but we should inject children with hormones for gender confusion….its the only right thing to do, surely studied just as thoroughly >.>
I was considering using steroids. But I definitely would not, with this information. I am already pretty impulsive, last thing I need is less control. Lol my life would be a mess!
Take up crossfit or knitting bra!!
I dont think BB or power lifting is for you.
You make more manly choices. You make more instinctive choices. I have adhd and when on trt I can focus. When off trt I can't focus so there's that.
How that study got past an ethics committee is beyond me
A lot of people here already have low i.q., so listen up. AAS will not lower ones i.q. It only has the POTENTIAL to lower impulse control & decision making, possibly resulting in one exhibiting behaviors one may have had as a teenager. This is likely due to testosterones ability to raise dopamine and effect other such neurochemicals. Again, this will not lower ones i.q. at all. Not that it matters; you all sound retarded already, if you can't decipher correlation/causation smh 😂
Been thinking about this since I read 'The Righteous Mind'. Do steroids make you more assertive and clear-headed, or do they make you less rationally self-critical, making you think you're thinking more clearly because all the answers seem so much more obvious now?
This whole discussion is pointless. If one did a 2 week cycle on orals (which can give you up to 4lbs of solid mass). Not even the HTPA has the time to shut down, even less so brain tissue be affected. I say this theoretically, I don't want to encourage of steroids because natural bb has always been the way to go.
Big whoop.
Steroids can have huge effect on the brain and behavior, thats well known.
Arnold is still on trt and that fucker is as successful and smart as they come, not saying everyone can be an Arnold but goes to show how this study is bs…fuck being average
Fun fact, the darker the brows the bigger your weiner
I respect the video and the definite indifference you have used, which I personally thank you for. BUT.
This I feel is purely subjectable.I recently competed and every time I do go back on cycle I notice that I'm much sharper academically speaking.
I notice alot about my self that is enhanced when I'm on cycle.
My vision gets better and I'm far more articulate.
I'm not sure I have my own opinions and theory's as to why, this happens. Never the less, reguarless of the study there is so many factors involved in an acheavable accurate definitive answer that it's, plain and simple to difficult to give an answer.
control groups, sure I get it ya.
but Frank Zane was a chemistry teacher or professor I don't remember which but got figure.
Anyway we all appreciate the unbias stance you take on the video. I mean come on some of us have roid rage here.. lol LMAO.
Well done looking forward to watching more.
I don't know about you guys but I'll hit subscribe no problem. 👍
To all my fellow iron slaves.
CHEERS!
Once you take it though don't you have to say on it because when you come off it your body thinks it needs the synthetic testosterone, so then it never goes back too what it was before ever. Is that right?
That's could be a good thing for some people
Higher test ppl are more impulsive??? No fucking way
Fda doesn't want us to be healthy….
I believe you… Not
Are these people more susceptible after use or did they have impulsive nature before use?
Omarlsuf. Twattt
Age 63 never took steroids even with low testosterone
This going in my final paper. Thanks boo!
