by YouTube Team

I’ve gained nearly 40lbs back in nearly 3 months since my show. Let me know what you think, should I keep bulking?

If you want a piece of advice… Your arms are big enough when bulked but loose most of it when shredded. Overall however they are not your lagging part. Chest is. Reason for it is the fact, that by the look of it your body has a way to fight the load with shoulders and triceps first and than with chest. This can be remedied by changing technique. I checked your videos with bench press (was hard to get there through all this curling) and you tend to grab a bar wide. Which would be correct I guess in all books but not suited to activating your particular built. I encourage you to try something at least once and judge for yourself will you feel more chest activation. Lower the load to amount you would normally do 4×12 times. Grab the bar way closer, above shoulders. During the concentric movement imagine and than actively try to squeeze the bar to the center as if you did dumbells. It won't be possible of course but trying itself will send a signal to chest to activate it more. Try to do 4×8 no weight progression and see what happens. This is by far part that drives you down on stage most. Muscle insertions are in good places, you will never look like natural big chest dudes but you can improve it a lot. Did you put 40 pounds on in 4 months? Way too fast, most of it is fat. I'd go slower and focus on priorities more next time.

I'm 5'8 no shoes and got up to about 175 last fall but cut down to 155 now… I look better in cloths now, but I felt better when I was bulked up a bit. Planning on starting again during a small vacation from work and ultimately want to get to 170 by summer… not looking to get huge but I liked being a little meatier

Got same results at 5'8, around 175ish give or take the food intake. Not crazy strong like some but as a medium dude sometimes you don't understand your actual strength lol.
