Most people, as soon as it gets tough they start with the it hurts or I dont want to hurt myself. I see this in military training, when people quit it's because they've mentally tapped out. They'll take the easy way out. You have to learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable period. I would have said the same thing Mike did. Are you hurt or injured? Funny

This comment are for the people that need clarity on race /ethnicity, Nationality. This ladies race is black, but her ethnicity is of Latin descent. I didn't realize till this day people was still unaware that black people are born in many countries all over the world and have different heritages.

OMG, after watching this video, I see that I really do need to invest in a personal trainer. I know this is why I haven't gotten the results in all these years, because I am not pushing my myself enough. It's such a mental thing. I hope I can find a really good one. I'm going to try one for at least 2 months this summer. Mike Rashid… you have great knees! Such a blessings.

17:45 she states she was in physical therapy for TWO years for her lower back. You’re a fool if you think you wouldn’t be suffering from PTSD and be “overly protective” over a body part that’s so important in mobility PERIOD. I did 4 months of therapy for a torn rotator cuff and bursitis… when I was cleared to return to work because I told the doctor I was over the therapy, plus we wouldn’t know how well I am until I got back to full duty😭🤣 … My first day back I was like,”I can’t do this, I’m not gonna do that”. Because of fear. Who wants to be in constant pain? Due to injury and some therapy sessions? Mind you, an injury that was caused by YOU doing TOO MUCH , yet think you could handle it at the time. This is the same brain you have to fight that got you in the mess the first time 😂😭😂🤦🏾‍♀️Those who have overcome injury will understand this most. Those who haven’t .. keep pushing ✌🏾🏁❤️

I understand what she means when she says she doesn’t want to hurt herself. There’s nothing worse than psyching yourself out because your muscles are fatigued and thinking what if this weight falls?…HOWEVER having someone spot you with that amount of strength I’d lift a fucking fire truck with the confidence he’s gone pick up my slack IF I can’t complete the lift. Lol

yeah his patience is amazing… I think she like most thin people who mistake being thin, maybe even lean for being fit. lean and weak is just as bad as big and weak. Muscular strength, endurance and flexibility… She probably missing the one which will take her no time if she sticks with it.

Mike is such a great coach in this video. Salute to the young lady as well. It's clear this type of training is new to her, so to be able to get through a session with Mike Rashid should be commended. Salute to her for not quitting, and salute to Mike for not letting her. she clearly isn't flexible enough to perform "ass to grass" squats and many studies show that there's no true benefit in squatting that low.
