Bodybuilding was best in the 90s. Kevin Levrone and Shawn Ray. Freaks with tight mid-sections.

honestly about the gh and roid gut i can understand that eating can make your gut stick out. i age with mine in the morning my stomach looks good after i eat i look weird. then again i don't have much knowledge in the enhancements. maybe they both lay a factor idk but from my experience i can see some truth in what mike said

I am onboard with the possibility it's just the huge amount of food required to carb up at such an insane weight. But how do you explain something like Shawn Rhoden at Olympia 2015? Guys had a huge bulge in his lower abs near his crotch, and his upper abs were still flat. I think it's a combination of different factors, and not just one or the other.

I disagree. First of all, I believe insulin causes the roid gut. That being said, I eat a lot of food too, but my stomach doesnt stick out the way bodybuilders guts stick out, if you look closely the 'bump' starts underneath the bellybutton, wheres my stomach sticks out in the middle. Its not the same thing. There's a lot of proof that some steroids cause the gut. If food causes the gut, then why didnt big ramy's gut stick out. He doesnt carb up? And back in the day, everybodys gut was in check. I think defending todays bodybuilding relies on a lot of weak arguments; and no you dont have to be a freak to make conclusions about one; if I never had anorexia, does that mean that I cant do research about it??? Not a good argument.

Lots of love to all you iron addicts.

Modern bobybuilding is DONE! I have a love/hate relationship with bodybuilding. On one hand you have superhero physiques on the other you have corruption, lies, homoeroticism ,females looking like males, gay4pay and cough..cough "supplements". Most people don't respect the new bodybuilders only the old ones who lifted herculaen poundages. Mr olmpia,Phil Heath, (said in effeminate voice)"I don't want to get hurt so I only use machines". translation- I don't want to lose no money. Smh. Bitch sit the fuck down! Another clown is flex wheeler who "does not want to get hurt, so I don't deadlift. Dafuck? This generation is a bunch of pussies who only work out for money, and instagram followers not for love.

Also there are thousands who could destroy the current bodybuilders if they decided to use…cough…cough…."supplements". Myself included.#bodybuildingisdone #teamfreeweights #philheathliftspussyweightandshitROM #FucktheIFBB.

Anyone who's been really lean & muscular will know there is truth in what he said about food consumption causing the gut to stick out. But come on Mike, you should of at least acknowledged there's a bit more to it then that.

the big guts may be part of all the food but honestly to get on 240 pounds lean single digit bodyfat u know that you need some kind of "help" . its not just the genetics. #nohate just want to be realistic and dont give other people wrong expectations. u can still get big and lift tons of weight without a doubt but not kai greene like without help. much love from germany !!
