It's weird because his back is super conditioned as you can see but his front is lacking maybe he doesn't train abs and legs for shape maybe he trains for mass what do you think
i disagree, his back may be thinck and conditioned but his lats were not developed all the way down,he didn't have the meat down low.you can see that in the latspread and in his backdoublebiceps were his arms overpower his back
this guys tear drops inspired me to quads in which i hit the 31 inch mark and was known as quadzilla arrrrr they were the days ,,still are bwaaaaaaftfatftfatfat
Am I the only one who thinks Mike has high incursion of his lasts? Similar to Dennis Wolfs. Good back, but not top 5 Backs of ALL TIME material. Not hating.. BTW Keep up the good work Nick! 😀
How many times in your opinion judges crowned wrong guy to win Olympia and when was it? Video about that would be nice cos you got good eye for best physique. My choice would be 1990 Olympia when Haney was off and Labrada should have won, then 1994 where Ray should have won,1997 when Nasser should have won,2001 when Cutler was robbed and 2007 when Victor Martinez should have won.
I appreciate that you listen to your subscribers on the videos you are making so I'm going to give you a suggestion on someone and I hope you really do listen to my suggestion on this one so here it is! My suggestion is to do a video on a bodybuilder name Dan Freeman from the Modesto area in California! He was a good bodybuilder in the 90's and I don't know if he ever turned pro but he was also a black belt so he became a part of the MMA fighter by the name of Ken Shamrock and the "lions den" and I think he was on a reality show as Shamrocks nutritionist on "Spike" TV's channel and I would like to learn more about what he did and how he looked as a bodybuilder before and after his time on the TV, so I would love to see how it goes for me in the future so please keep me updated on whats going on with him! Of course I won't tell anyone about this ad and I will of course ask you to keep an eye on him too
This guy got bowel cancer, he was eating truck loads of red meat. His whole intestine rotted out. He now has to wear a shit bag. Lost all his gains and his complexion is pale.
What a waste. I also suffer frm the same condition and its no fun. Hard for your digestive system to absorb the nutrients to grow. If he would have stayed healthy for a few more yrs i think he would have been top 3. Huge and well balanced. Abs were ok, and condition could have been better. Imo
Hey lost his colon due to Ulcerative Colitis (just like me) and he actually believes that is why his upper abs look they way they do as his colon was inflammed.
I like Mike Francoise the man as much as his bb career. I personally know him. He is one of the most humble, honest, kind people that I've ever met. He gave up a career as a priest too. He never even set out to be a pro. It just happened. I witnessed it too. He met his future wife while completing his education to become a priest. He finished his education but ended up getting married instead and along the way became a great pro bb. I remember him in the gym in the late 80's. The first time i saw him he was like 250 at 5'9 or so and he just kept getting bigger and harder and bigger and more massive. Anyway, great guy and he made a great family. There was no one in Columbus as big as him in those days, only when the Arnold would attract the freaks from all over the world.
My buddy competed against Mike when Mike won the Arnold (Flex was second)……buddies name was Leif Langbacka….Leif said that in person was a totally different experience vs pics or videos. He said he had the most incredible back he had ever seen and calves and legs that were some of the best ever. I see the upper ab issue and agree but Mike was one hell of a great bodybuilder and HUGE.
You should do a video on Leif Langbacka. He had a short lived pro career but was a darn good bodybuilder from Finland (he won the Finland grand champion show which earned him his pro card…..99% sure). We both worked for GNC as store managers in Virginia at the time. I was considered a VERY big bodybuilder (6'2 and around 255-260) but Leif was a monster in the off season. I recall sitting behind him at a company managers meeting in Maryland and he blocked the entire front of the room. I had to move to another table (LOL). Good stuff as always Nick.

Mike was very Jay Cutler-ish in terms of his physique…

Shaabooomm
it's pretty unusual to see someone with the top four abs more defined then the bottom two lol, it kills what would be a great front double bicep pose.
Interesting that your harshest criticism at the end of this clip occur when the 2 best pictures appear. LOL
Hey right the fuck on. I watched this guy guess pose when I was a kid and is the reason I got into lifting weights. Thank you very much for the video.

Mike was great.
Anyone remember what caused his retirement? Wasn't he hooked to a colosomy bag for some reason?
