Be careful Nick. I am a former power lifter who used to do those heavy 1rep maxes. It’s a good way to hurt yourself. I’m 48 now and after multiple surgery’s I do higher reps with less weight. But also higher intensity to failure or very close. I am about as strong as I have ever been when it comes to reps. You will find this out once you get into your late 30’s or 40’s you have to do this because shit starts to break!
