Well, first we have to aknowledge that taking steroids is not really that great for your health, especially the heart. There are of course ways to monitor that and lessen the toxicity of these drugs. But second we also have to consider that most of those bodybuilders have been traveling lately. I think it is safe to assume that most have been inoculated against covid. Now those inoculations do have a connection with myocarditis, heart attacks and of course thrombisis.
Maybe there is a connection there? If you have athletes that are already on a rather vulnerable spectrum when it comes to the heart, what does that inoculation do to them?
Just my thoughts.
Does anybody actually think this looks good and aspires to be like that?
Frankly I think the issue might be prevented by actually so called 'legalizing' particular gear. Perhaps they've been vetted by some regulatory body. It may be that certain gear poses too much of a risk. It may seem to stifle competition, but long term, it's safer for the sport and it's competitors. Bodybuilders shouldn't need to be willing to risk their lives for success
Maybe the only way to allow bodybuiilders to live longer is to take away the stigma of the drugs. Legalize them and mandate quarterly testing. You'd catch problems early and allow for treatment. It's not realistic to think you can just get rid of drugs in this sport. They are a major part of the sport, especially at the professional level. I'm not just talking about steriods either. I mean the growth hormone, IGF1, insulin, diuretics, pain killers, and every other drug used in bodybuilding.
The heart attacks are created by the use of gear which causes the blood to clot.
Why are bodybuilders dying? Serious question? Because of the heavy gearing. That's why.
