Jeremy Buendia and Sergio Oliva Jr have recently started a massive argument on instagram about Men’s Open Bodybuilding vs the Newer Divisions. Several other big names in the fitness industry joined in the discussion as well.

Sergio Jr is rude and shit guy, his father should arrest in, for that behavior … has beef with everybody !!!
Who the fuck cares about these guys and their bullshit go outside you're all nerds
Open bodybuilder mass monsters are crying that there are other people out there making a living off the sport. Sometimes even MORE money than the open guys, meanwhile they will live a longer healthier life. If I was shoving grams of gear, GH/insulin, weighing 250+ trying to compete in open and getting out earned by a little mens physique dude has to be frustrating…but thats the way things are. Men’s physique and to some extent classic shows fans an ATTAINABLE SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE AND BEAUTIFUL BODY that they can actually strive for themselves. Bodybuilding is more like a freak show/circus act…people were never meant to look like that.
Oliva is unstable. He's really living off dad's fame at the moment. It's should focus on his task instead of beefing with Jeremy
Open division sucks big time, it's just bubble gut steroid over dose freak show nowadays. In the golden era, you see Arnold etc doing guest posing in great condition etc. Now they look like puffer fish. Yea they can hide behind the prize money etc, but the fact that open now is totally garbage in terms of quality really shows how it's degraded. IFBB know this and they are very clever to develop all the divisions. As a businessman it's prudent to develop as large a product line as possible to see the winner's and losers. As far as Olivia is concerned, he's a total loss in my books because of his attitude etc. Who the hell wants to have his psyche. Yuk! Especially when you aren't even at the top of the game
Jeremy is right. Only hardcore people watch open in general, but now with all the divisions people interests are alot more as you don't need to look like a puffer fish when wearing clothes. Not everyone wants to look like Dorian, Ronnie etc (albeit they had nice physique). People want to look like Zane, Sadik, etc.
I think sergio has a point
Like I commented before on the Dexter Jackson video, bodybuilding is going to find itself taking a backseat to classic physique if they don't get their act together, they guys are coming into the Olympia pregnant & fat & the judges are crowning their favorite, bottomline, the fans want Olympians to look like classic physique, it used to be like that & it's not anymore & the fans are fed up, this is why you see the growing popularity in classic physique, in a fan of bodybuilding but what I'm seeing on stage is what I can also see at a local gym & to be honest, Musclemania is more pleasing to watch than the Mr. Olympia right now
Not a fan of Buendia as a person but he makes good points and Sergio has always been extremely immature and negative.
Also as far as women's bodybuilding, it went away because it became too extreme and looked like men with breast implants.
If you look at Women's Physique like DLB they are actually closer to what women's bodybuilding was like in the past if you compare to Rachel McLish and the like.
He said the new divisions boosted bodybuilding because it was dying. It made the competitions grow but i don't think it made the actual bodybuilding division more popular. You said yourself the bodybuilding divisions in amateurs are suffering, so they didn't boost bodybuilding they boosted the new divisions…
The difference between physique and open is just the amount and type of gear you want to take. Let's be honest.
jeremt wears board shorts. he might as well wear a fuckin tampon on stage. he doesnt even deserve to say the word bodybuilding.
Body building was never in a real decline. The fitness/supplement industry has been steadily growing since the 90s. Body building is just one subset of the industry as a whole.
Prize money wouldn't continue to go up every year if viewing and sponsorships were going down. Simple as that.
The irony is open bodubuoldimg was and is now back the classic physique. The bubble gut evolution will die. Bodybuilding foundatiin was mads with "aesthetics" the "classic" thats what paved the way. With out that their wouldnt be physique, bikinni, and bubble guts.
Jeremy is a pussy bitch and Sergio is an asshole
Jeremy vs sergio 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Buendia said so because he knows he can destroy phil heat in a fan contest, but if he said this in coleman era….bitch please for buendia because in that era buendia just was like a bikini competitor next to really monsters that trains harder and were more conditioned than todays open bodybuilders…except for dexter jackson
honestly people just got tired of seeing the bubble gut. that's what messed up the game and you can only blame the open bodybuilding division for that.
classic physique is where it's at because it's the closer representation to the Golden Era of bodybuilding the reason why everybody got into it so Jeremy is correct even though he's a little prick
Jeremy is right!
Not a fan of jeremy also but he is right.
The problem with these bodybuilders like Sergio is their idea that they "work harder." They don't. They also do not look better. Modern bodybuilding is simply a freak show
JEREMY is right. Today's guys have no charisma. Bodybuilding needs more conormcgregor and nate diaz.
Fuck jeremy and he actually makes me in-interested in any division he is part of
the problem for open bbers is that classic has taken away the option for them to evolve back down to more aesthetics with less size whereas before with less divisions BBing could redefine itself from tile to time. Open now pretty much only has the option to be massive and freaky, there's no other space to evolve into, as classic has now taken that up. And people are generally getting a bit tired of seeing juiced up freaks with huge guts.
There just 2 kids thats it
Sergio is a punk. Anyone who feels the need to constantly and aggressively assert masculinity is insecure.
Great job Nick, you always doing a good job, My opinion on this is that Jeremy is not bashing bodybuilding, he is just saying by adding these categories,it helped the sports and he is absolutely right on that. People needs to be professional if they call themselves professional, only talk about this issue, do not bring each other's personal life matters into it because nobody gives a dam about it.
I agree Nick
When he said body building was dying six or seven years ago, I completely disagree.
Like if you also disagree
jeremy 👎👎👎
Jermy got erogenous i wish he will never won the title again
Rivalries and beef are good as long as its not rap beef then its real!
He didn’t say anything wrong
Nick why aren’t you a fan of men’s physique? What is your reasoning as to why it’s bad for body building. The division makes sense because of classic going crazy towards the biggest huge freaks. It gives those who will never be able to get that big compete.
111 dislike my mine, yesssssssss.
