Similarities between me and Matt: Both eat over 3k calories
Differences: he's jacked and im not…😂
u have tremendous biceps
I love how you aren't just a bulk/strength training vlogger, but a person that spreads the message about nutrition. Often people are scared about keeping it 100% clean. Your videos are so informative and inspirational!
You do serious sessions everyday so that definitely helps. ..
I dont get it, you plan to eat like shit UNTIL you show signs of illness??? WTF mate, you have a family now…
It's impossible to get 5000 calories a day with just clean food I struggle to do it with 3000 anyone who's smart will know why you eat the way you do
Did they say anything about the STEROIDS!!! Only joking mate, you make a good point in this vid. Now where's my Ben & Jerrys
Matt, I'm surprised that your blood pressure level isn't over 9,000!!!.
lol awesome intro!
Creatine metabolizes into creatinine as a left-over waste product, which normally indicates kidney function for those with a normal diet. Taking exogenous creatine (the shit you buy in powders) throws the reading off since it's not just your body producing creatinine – – – so bodybuilders and power lifters typically show high creatinine levels on blood work even though they're entirely healthy. :))
Matt, I suggest you watch Dr. Feigenbaum and Dr. Baraki from Berbell Medicine or listen to their podcasts. They’re both competitive powerlifters and they often speak about nutrition, programming etc. for athletes from a clinical perspective. It would change your perspective about food. There is essentially no BAD or GOOD food, just good or bad eating habits. They also talk about creatinine levels in athletes being elevated due to muscle mass and supplementation. And how the current normal ranges of creatinine doesn’t apply to athletes as they are based on the general population. Hope you find them helpful. 🙂
I think you need a mix like myself from time to time I eat a takeaway not very often though, but I also most of the time eat a good meal I eat plenty of salads and fruit, not saying my diet is perfect but you definitely need a mix in your diet I think. 🙂
Yeah great words as usual Matt. If everyone could grasp the simplicity of flexible dieting which can include so called "bad" foods then there wouldn't be such a greedy fad diet industry. I do think there is a balance though and good to see you talking about it mate.
I agree matt – healthy diet means you eat nutritious foods but you still allow yourself cakes, chocolate, ice cream etc. in moderation
So happy to hear Matt😊👶🏻Great news.I barely eat and have higher cholesterol from my family genes🙅♂️
100% mate pretty much 80 % whole foods 20% what ya fancy ice cream etc I think state of health is more effected of high body fat levels more than actual diet but if someone has high body fat.
‘If you want some cake friggin do it’ 😂 always make me laugh
So what I take from this video is the only "problem" you have is that you have too much muscle lol
What a good video! Loved the message that you give
You’re in good company. Greyhounds have “high” creatinine attributed to the breed’s muscularity. Interesting to compare your labs with mum & dad’s. Old folk tend to make carbohydrates into triglycerides.
Dam
Question matt if i start the gym for the 1st tym wen should i start doing bench press ive got serouis stick arms straight away or after i bulk up abit let me know mate if u can also wats the best exerxcises to build my arms ??
Lifting elevates liver enzymes 100 fold you need to deload a week into a test minimum.
Nice
Good to hear nothing bad with your diet mate. I had diagnosed high creatinine too. I increased my water intake and did same tests a while later and it was fine. Kept my protein intake relatively the same too.
Now you got more time making vids need to prep food call it "Power Lift Cooking with Matt and Luca Supervised by Saz for Health and Safety"
Well your blood work is fine..so that means time for the 30k calorie challenge right?

Watch from 5:20. Explains about creatine usage and blood works.
Slim down
That end message was bang on 👌🏻
What a star Matt. Thanks for making this video, it's great to know that we can enjoy 'naughty' foods and still keep on track with fitness etc. Keep the vids rolling in.

I got given advice from the Doctors to stop taking creatine because of the high levels with kidneys. Since I stopped taking creatine my levels for kidneys are healthy and back to normal range. Are the Doctors worried about your kidneys becoming damaged?
Can you bulk on a vegan diet? Some can, but could you try and test it? A 6 months ‘ experimentation period, with animal products being consumed rarely (since you probably won’t try a vegan test for that long). I am curious and you could provide insight on all the types of calorically dense vegan junk food out there
Thanks Matt for replying 😊😊😊😊 u r such a humble and nice human being 😘 be like that always !! God bless u !!😊
Glad you made this video, very good message!
Moderation not deprivation 👍🏻
jordan feigenbaum is talking about the topic on his chanel barbelmedicine
I am sorry but "normal" cholesterol, triglycerides etc. is already deadly
– its normal to die of a heart attack
– 8g salt a day is normal just like high blood pressure
Doctors especially in the UK dont tell you, if you get the test in paper and compare it to the ACoC guidelines you ll see
ever thought about doing the Huel one week challenge ? u can only have huel for a week
huh… Doctors give you personal phone calls about your bloodwork over there?
Did they not test your trigliceride levels or the fat levels in your blood? Usually each year I get tested for cholesterol, blood pressure, triglicerides, and insulin levels. Glad to hear you are doing well as i know those food challenges are fun every once in a while but all the time can be detrimental.
The creatine supplementation is behind the higher [creatinine].
Good video. Very informative
Not convinced, have a biopsy to look at your arterial health and see the rate of atherosclerosis. If you have a fast sedimentation rate, you could have normal cholesterol because its depositing in fatty streaks. Normal doesn't necessarily indicate healthy either. Normal is still probably at a raised risk of MI and IHD compared with those with a low serum cholesterol level. Get ya CRP and other peptides measured to check levels of inflammation and risk of chronic disease. Have a spirometry test to check lung function. Eating the occasional bad meal will deterioate your health. A single high fat meal disrupts endothelial function and increases risk of heart disease https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29572498
I eat
Pizza and some sweet cravings every 2 weeks
Matt.
From your point of view ,where does one draw the line with determining what is bad food and what is considered good? Like most people say that takeout is bad food but then you can get takeout from a restaurant that makes food just like one would back at home, and many people say that homemade food is good food, when in turn I think it could be bad too. Please can you help with your view on this.
You better start eating a cargo a salad a day
Moderate don't eliminate! Thank you!
Shitte, 5000 calories? Have you had your T4/T3 levels checked?
My diet is about 50 percent whatever I want and 50 percent clean. I just make sure my workouts are intense for about 2 hours a day 5 days a week and i stay moving as much as possible throughout the rest of the day. I never gain weight as long as I stay active and infact Im losing weight since Ive been consistent with high intensity workouts.
