So, after years of putting it off, I’ve finally made the switch. I’m now training as a bodybuilder. I’ve done almost no hypertrophy for the last 7 months and have never trained for aesthetics so this should be interesting…

good for you man. if you enjoy it, go for it. I think your metabolism is more suited for body building anyways, considering you have to eat an insane amount of calories to get stronger

With your background in athletics and powerlifting I'm suprised you aren't moving over to crossfit, seems like youd excel at that and you could eat your usual way.

You should consider doing measurements or actual physique photos so you can do like before and after comparison.

Powerlifting and bodybuilding are both difficult sports. Gotta day as a competitor a fan of bodybuilding but still respect the shit out of powerlifters. I’ve been implementing some strength training in my programs myself and there’s definitely benefit to working some of that stuff in
