I destroyed my spin bike. Sweat dripping on my bike got into the internal components in the adjustment knob which is inconveniently located in between the shins on the frame. It corroded the circuit board. I got it replaced but I keep a sandwich baggie over the knob now.

So many shoes throughout the years that were my victims to my workout sessions 😂 but definitely my hair ties and my ankle weights..ouch.

I still play rec soccer and have destroyed several shirts, shin guards, ankle braces and cleat insoles with my sweat. I bought the powerblocks after seeing them in FB videos years ago and the padded middle part does get slippery, but at least doesn’t rust.

Lol "I just really need to know" I've ruined a few yoga mats and plenty of workout gear from shoes to bras.

Yoga mats… more than I'd like to admit. And also, workout clothes – I've had to throw many away because I can't get the stink out!! 😆

Shoes, mats, the floor treatments 😅. I’ve switched to coated dumbbells for exactly the same reason🫣🫣

Those sports fabric gets incredibly stinky after a while and there's nothing you can do to get the odor of sweat out. Sigh.

Tasha, you crack me up 😂 I'm part of the yoga mat destroyers gang and my exercise bike has also started to rust where the sweat usually rains down

I wear weight lifting gloves so that I don't drop the weight with sweaty hands! My workout mat gets nasty tho

I, too, suffer from hyper-hydrosis. Luckily I haven't rusted through any weights yet! I have rid myself of a Fitbit before due to sweat and electricity not mixing well

I wear gloves when I do strength training. I'm on my 2nd pair. I'm about to need another mat from all the 'sweat slip n slides.'😅 I'm on my 2nd pair of shoes as well. There's at least one hole in all my workout-related fabric 😅

Leggings. No matter how expensive, or supposedly firm hold, they lose their stretchy in a few months. I wash in cold water, in gentle wash sacks, line dry, doesn’t make a difference. I swear it’s the profuse sweating breaks down the stretchy. They get especially stinky too, more than other clothes.

Oh yeah, also varnish. Sweat is death to varnish. Maybe it’s the salt and oil. Laying a new set of sweaty coated weights on my dresser during three workouts dissolved the varnish before I even noticed.
