Maybe Dr Mike should write a complete book on Hypertrophy/Size. JT has a book on Strength, & a book on Volume, but a complete book on hypertrophy is what is now needed.
Side note- Dr Brad Schoenfeld’s book Max Muscle plan seems to be the go to book for building muscle size right now even though it’s a bit dated & even he has admitted that research keeps getting updated with time so maybe something with the latest research?

Love these videos man I'm just getting confused I do CrossFit and general bodybuilding and I want to build size particularly chest. How would I programme this in I would like to do 3 general CrossFit days and 3 bodybuilding days like push pull legs etc so how would I programme in the volume for chest like 15 sets per week and do you add accessories to this ?

My program when I was 12 was a pull up and 10 push ups… master the body weight first before touching the weights. I remember doing push ups till failure pull ups on stairs and trees.

Is a program absolutely crucial? I've only been lifting for about 2 months without following a specific program, but I have been making gains. Should I get on a program? I do low volume for compound lifts and 8-12 reps for accessories.
