I can relate to this. Prior to January of this year I was stressing a ton about work, not eating right. Sometimes it was 5 in the afternoon and I hadn't ate yet. I slowly lost weight over the next two or three years. I was 109lbs and 5'6 in January. Starting to get worried about my weight, I decided it was time to do something about it.
I began eating a big bowl of oatmeal in the morning sometimes with fruit with soy milk and a bit of brown sugar for sweetener. Two sandwiches for lunch with a lean meat cheese and Mayo, usually with tomatoes sometimes spinach depending on my taste along with some sort of healthy dry snack with it. Potato chips, etc. Filling in time between meals with trail mix or other fruits. Eating more veggies at dinner and carbs and always eating an hour before bed. Also started to drink more soy milk in the day. I can happily say I'm now 122lbs 6 months later and it's not entirely muscle gain. I feel a lot better. You don't need weight gainer or powders. Just lots of nutrients dense food.

I appreciate a video like this so much. I've been struggling with weight gain and I don't see nearly enough attention placed on this as losing weight, even though gaining is a bit harder for most people (think of the difference between going up the stairs versus going down.)

New subbie here. Thanx much for this vid!! Coz i am starting to do my workout routine at home in order to gain weight. I am only 39kg and my IBW is 45-52kg and it is really hard for me to gain weight. But i am putting all my effort on this! I juz had my 1st workout yesterday and God knows how much i am in muscle pain today haha wish me luck!!!

It’s so weird seeing u in ur normal cloths talking to us (a 1st for me at least) when I’ve been looking at u DAILY (except on Sundays) while following ur workouts (don’t tell ur other half but I almost exclusively chose YOUR ones as I think our bodies/stature are pretty similar (minus the extra muscle mass/fitness & über cool sportswear of urs but I’ll be getting there soon. I hope🤞🏻) & the way u talk (even the tone of ur voice) just keeps me focused & on track, dunno.. I used to follow 2-3 Swedish fitness channels/workouts + a German one for the ”Fussball Legs” I was after, none of them I stuck to.. so yes: I LOVE U and I owe u so much! U well and truly changed my life but I’d better stop before this becomes too emotional (u must get them a lot) 👍🏻💪🏻🤗♥️

I thought you would have to eat 500 calories on top 3600 a day for a week in order to gain one pound? Is that incorrect ?
To gain weight, do I exercise during or after my ideal weight?
You suggested carbs, but carbs turn to sugars, and then leads to unhealthy weight gain (by weight gain, I mean fat not muscle).

For a problem that I have with my skin I had to start a diet that has made me lose weight and now I would like to have my thick body back. All the food I eat is gluten and dairy free, no grains, sugar, bread, flour, and it's actually a little bit annoying.
This is the reason why I absolutely love your channel and have become more comfortable with working out. I am very thin and quite timid. I have been called so many heartless things by family and friends about my weight not realizing that words really hurt. We don’t go around saying, “you’re so fat, you should eat a salad” so then why do people go around and say “you’re so scrawny, go eat a burger?” This video gave me more confidence and assurance that I am not working out and eating better to look good (though that’s a plus) but I am working hard to be healthy. Just like you mentioned, these fads come and go so why strive for the next look at the cost of unhealthy means to get there? Thank you, truly!

I love how simple and health focused you are with fitness. It's always real food for you. I find I'm a good weight maintainer (I'm usually between 135-140), but when funds are low, I start to lose weight from less eating and I can start looking pretty skinny. I'm inspired to splurge on healthy meals next pay day. 😁 Healthy, fit, and strong- no fads. Thank you for that!
