when people can't do this its usually not because they have weak triceps or a weak core, its because they weigh too much. I guarantee if some of you guys shed off that useless bodyfat, it would help alot.
Was only looking for placement because I fall over every time.
You can do modified one armed push ups( like the mod push ups except with one arm) and it turns out to be quite a workout.
You don't need a strap. There's no shame in starting out on your knees with these bad boys. Also, for balance: twist your torso in towards your working arm a bit as you go down. Trying to keep yourself perfectly flat will topple you every time until you get good at it.
Surely this system could be modified for someone starting two armed push-ups possibly around the chest. Maybe around the neck if your Michael Hutchence

So after going to starbucks and having a medium coffee, I couldn't sleep until 9am, I wake up 40 minutes later and decide to do one arm pushups… and bam I pop out 3 per arm and I wasn't even going to the gym as often anymore let alone bodyweight exercise XD.
This should be easy for those skinny fucks who don't do anything but gain muscle by whacking a fat one off at night to youtube videos.
Real one arm push ups are ball busters and require months of preparation for a person who is very fit. You have straight body, straight legs and hand placed on the middle. This is one of the cheaters type.
other approach is to start doing oapus on your knees just like weak guys and females does with regular pushups to get some weight off then do the oapu with out any assistance this helps to hit the lats and core harder that is a big part of why you cant perform them, because you need tons of strength there to stabilize and prevent core rotation and end up with your face on the ground lol, then you can start building up by grabbing a small weight close to your chest with the free hand and build little by little 😛
Guys I can do 50 push ups in a row but why can't I do a 1 arm push ups, I can't even do 1

Having the capability of doing more reps of the classic, diamond, and wide push ups continuously would lead to muscle endurance. Would performing more difficult push up variations with less reps; however, are to failure benefit me more gains? Which one is better. Classic push up variations with high reps to failure or more difficult low reps variation to failure? I can do a lot of reps with my pull ups and push ups but I'm still skinny.

I learned by doing elevated one arm pushups on a bench . Could do 8 each side before I started trying on the flat and found I could do a few then
