I see a lot of people doing their incline pressing wrong.. I hope you're not one of them! 😀
I was told by a bodybuilding friend that if I hold the bar at around 15 degrees forward and bring it down closer to my lower chest and maintain that position while lifting, it’ll bring out the V shape in the middle of my upper chest. I have some wrist problems so I prefer not to do it, but have you heard of this motion before?
I am 56 years old and do this with 130 lbs for a few sets of 12 or so reps . I find as I age, my hands don't tolerate the pressure from the bar so well, so I bought some pipe insulation and wrapped it around the handle. I wrap my hand around the insulation instead of the pipe.
Perfect suggestion easy to understand and do it in a normal way
No one at the gym does bench this way everyone flares their arms back using their shoulders. Same with dumbbells

Too high an incline for me. 1 notch down, not pressing to lockout either.
Mike thurston teaches this exercise different on YouTube by flaring elbows and doing half reps who shall I believe?

Great but I was waiting for the proper technique video in reference to flexing the glutes. Also when beginning any workout program are you supposed to shave your butt??

Millons of people working out and not a single person comes up with a incline bench press machine.
This video really helps. I have never been able to go low due to flaring my elbows out since I thought that is what you're supposed to do. Appreciate this video since it looks like it's more of a military press type grip or a close grip flat bench press type tuck in your elbows exercise.

If you arch your back like that your chest is almost horizontal. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of an incline?
