Henry Cavill “Witcher” Workout & Diet! | ANOTHER MEN’S HEALTH GIMMICK? – ScottHermanFitness

by YouTube Team

Everyone is talking about how HUGE & MUSCULAR Henry Cavill looks in his upcoming role as Geralt of Rivia in his new Netflix series “The Witcher”. I’m actually very excited for when the show drops this month, but was hesitant to watch the Men’s Health video on his workout after that “Tom Ellis – Lucifer” disaster we saw a few months back! So how did he make his gains? Is Cavill Natural? Is he on some special diet and workout? Well, all questions will be answered in today’s video!

I spent about 12 hours editing this video to make it super fun and exciting to watch. I really hope you guys enjoy it and know that this is just the beginning of how high I plan on raising the bar for my content in 2020!

I honestly don't think this guy is from the east coast. He speaks completely normal, then all of a sudden he has to throw that AHHHH into everything he possibly can.

Yes I like what you said at the end! When it comes to gainz and fitness, Henry has already made it to the end of the game and played all the dlc’s lol now he can just do what he wants because he has the know-how, so he is able to tweak his training accordingly. As a beginner Henry’s video with Men’s Health is not the place to start, but if you are much more experienced, the video provides a great look into a different perspective on training- training for the purpose of sword fighting, which can be useful to better ones physic depending on how you want to look and how functional you want your body to be. Overall I enjoyed the video too.

Dont do nuclei overload its just a fancy word for overytaining i did 3 days of calf raises and i can barely walk it feels like an injury. Just train normally 2 to 3 times a week and thats the best you can do. Dont try nuclei overload

Real swords are actually not heavy. At least not the swords you see Henry Cavill using in the Witcher. Great swords or claymores you could say they are heavy though.

Geralt is a tall, extremely ripped and fit fighter. He looks like a ufc fighter on the day of the weight in, mostly because all the muscle is functional and they eat infrequently (albeit in large amounts when possible) and meditate for sometimes days at a time.

Typical losers who have a difficult time building muscle are out here saying everyone is on steroids or PEDs. It's not Steroids or PEDs it's called hard work.

My body is like Cavill’s in which it likes to hold on to size naturally and I have to deprive myself significantly to get to even a lean state

One thing to add is that swords, even longswords normally aren't actually that heavy at all, but also they use way lighter prop swords in the fight choregraphy scenes – sometimes swords cut half in length and sometimes even rubber swords when doing near facial hits.

He looked a lot better in Immortals and Superman, he's too oversized now and has lost that aesthetic look.

LOL i wish people would stop saying he held the sword all day long. He held it for intervals over a period of hours. So sequences that take several minutes, then rests for X amount of time, then continues. And they didnt film fight sequences for 12 hours straight unless needed. Could be over the course of 4-5 hours at a time, maybe, but i could easily lift weights over that time period w/ adequate rest in between lifting sessions. He put the bloody sword down affter a time period.
