Dear lawdy, that weight is intense. Nothing to make me feel like i need to train hard for the next few years like Scott and friends NOT maxing out at over 400 lbs…

Justins reps after the backflip: is it to much of a rounded back or is that like okay?

Is it better to do say two upper body workouts and two lower body workouts a week or dedicate a whole gym workout to say just two muscle groups and then another two, etc over the whole week.
I'm just wondering if I should choose intensity over frequency.

Honest videos like this are inspiring, it's good to show off the realistic side of a workout, instead of just all the successful heavy reps

Tip: Don't crane your neck during the squats, you are all doing it. Try to keep a neutral spine. Also don't walk out so far from the rack, and keep your feet together when you unrack the weight.

Damn everytime I see you doing those heavy deadlifts I want to start doing them too, but I don't know where to start or what weight to do.

Great video as usual on this channel!

That big dude with the black singlet had incredible squat form and so much power. Does 315 effortlessly.

Great job on keeping that neutral spine on the deadlift. Keeping the head down is key!

I've been a subscriber to your channel for a long time now but this is my first comment to any of your videos. This was just inspiring. It was awesome watching you go through the struggles of those heavy weights and not give up to keep pushing through. I'm so pumped up for tomorrow's workout.

Thx

do you think if you pulled the slack out of hte bar before deadlifting you could maybe pull a little more weight?  hey, in that last squat rep your knee's sounded like a bowl of rice crispies snap, crackle, and popping – just like mine. it always amazes me that hideous crackling noise, yet no pain from it. nick's high bar squats are a marvel to look at, damn!  i really feel it in my quad on those split squats when driving through the heels and imaging my foot pushing the floor down and forward away from me. more videos like this that are long, showing a lot of sets and reps and keeping hte few tips and bullshitting in between sets.

damn Scott good shit, 425 deadlift no straps. natural grip. impressive

Reply
Antonio Tonci February 15, 2015 - 6:51 pm

Your squat looks great Scott 🙂 your DL also, I just dont like the grip bc it will develop imbalances, think about using straps always instead of reverse grip. And yea thank you for your videos and all the value you are providing to us 🙂

I did this routine.  My legs and back are destroyed.  While doing the romanian deadlifts, I felt the stretch, but now the DOMS are real.  As for the barbell glute bridge, it's definitely an interesting exercise.  The bar pressing against my thighs definitely hurt haha.  I wanted to start off light with 25 lbs on each side just so I could get a feel for the motion… but it's too low to the ground haha.  I'll keep working on it though.

Hey Scott, During your deadlifts with the 12 reps: 10 reps: 8 reps: 6 reps: 3 reps: 1 rep what would the corresponding percentages of your max be, so I can adjust the workout for my own strength.  One day ill be on your level! Keep it up man.

No wonder he injured hes back with that rounded back on 2 reps……I know hes your friend Scott. But as hes friend you should tell him not to have ego. <3
