In 1980..I saw Watson get 2nd place at the Mr Canada in a controversial
Decision. It was his home town of Hamilton Ontario.
He certainly had allot of fans.

Audience…. There was lots of booing over the decision.
A little later that same character ended up killing a guy at the venue
Apparently after a heated exchange over Mikes placement.
I knew Mike a little bit and found him to be a really good guy though.

Nick, how about giving a video of respect to Porter Cottrell, a fire fighter turned bodybuilder? He was at the same time as Kevin Levrone when they both came out. He was an all rounder with no particular stand-out body part but certainly a pleasing one compared to many of our current distended bodybuilders.

Nick, what about Lee Labrada and his son Hunter? He is up and coming but show huge potential. And he is taller than his old man too.
I saw Mike compete several times in the 70s and 80s and he was very memorable especially for his definition and vascularity, as you pointed out, Nick. One thing he should be given credit for is that I believe he was the first notable competitor to have striated glutes, long before Rich Gaspari (who is usually touted as the first). Mike's son looks awesome! Keep up the good work, Nick.
