Fakes weights are good for photo shoots, I can't remember the name of the guy who was lifting real weights for photo on a squat and ended up tearing both his quadriceps, this ended his bodybuilding career
I thought mike used fake weights when he was deadlifting 700lbs but I don't know that's a lot of weight for his size

The fitness director at my gym purchased some 20kg (44lb) crossfit barbells from Rogue. They are thinner than olympic barbells, too. I like how they've been relegated to the back of the free weight area while people wait for to use one of the few olympic barbells that are left.

look to see if the bar bends, if it has a lot of weight and the bar is straight then we know it's fake. anything above 4 plates one each side the bar will show effect of the weight and bend some what. so until the bar is fabricated and made fake as well. this should be easy to spot

Would you say that somebody who does weighted pull ups with 185 between his legs, 6 reps, and himself weighs 165 is using fake weight? That same person is also doing standing military press with 185 and up to 8 reps. What do you think?
