Great news all done and the surgeon is happy 😊. As I said before I work in an orthopaedic theatre and usually they are day cases in early and home same day. The things on your feet are flowtrons , you are right they are for your blood circulation. The medication( anaesthetic)they give you for sleep slows all your body functions including blood flow. You also have a tourniquet on your are to stop blood flow to the area they are doing surgery. It is to stop your blood thickening and clotting. Many years ago patients would end up with DVT ( deep vein thrombosis) so they invented these . The local in your arm does last a long time but when it wears off there is no warning . That is why they recommend taking pain meds before the time is up . Pleased you are doing well
