Well shit Omar, this whole time I thought putting your lats in your pockets meant your front pockets, not your back ones! So instead of retracting my shoulders back I was slouching them forwards, and then wondering why my back was still rounding. That's a key detail I missed so thanks for actually showing what you meant. Same form used for the bench press so it should feel pretty good next time I deadlift.

great video Omar. Your videos are very instructional and I learn from them. I tried "engaging my lats" while doing deadlifts, but for some reason my upper back seems to be rounded. I also did foam rolling to improve thoracic mobility. Would you be kind enough to take a look at my form and tell me what can be done to correct it? I will be happy to upload my video.
