Honestly Wesley would kill in open I feel like one of the main things holding him back is the weight cap and at his height it limits him to how much bigger he really can get. Seeing his Instagram stories and YouTube videos he’s one of the most disciplined and intelligent people I’ve ever seen when it comes to nutrition honestly he should just visit Dubai for a summer lol

The strict curl should start with arms locked out… the bench finished with arms locked, the deadlift is a lockout, and the squat is a lockout

I think the strict curl needs to be standardized. It’s the only way for a record to be universally recognized across the board.
Brandon and Bonac look fantastic. I’m pulling for Brandon Curry to claim his second Olympia Title, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to see William defend his title at the Arnold.

Maybe because wesleys waist is a tad rectangular? Not wide, but rectangular.
Leroy's curl is everything but strict, Neizi's curl was way more proper, but Denis is right about the grip and type of bar, his records is intact to me.

In my opinion, the width of the grip shouldn’t matter… other aspects have to be the same (same bar, same platforms etc) but you also don’t expect all bench press athletes to have the same grip on the bar? How wide you place your hands is your own choice
I think they should be able to pick the bar they like the most cos every body is different
If someone breaks Thor's deadlift world record by lifting a 502kg in sumo deadlift style would you accept it? It's the same on the strict curl because the narrower the bar the easier you can lift it so from my perspective it should have been some kind of rules to make this approved as a world record.
There are like 14 show winners in CP olympia. Some of those champions have to be outside of the first callout.
For the record, the strict curl is still owend by Dennis.

The wall being narrow would actually make the lift harder and the elbows aren't flared, Leroy is just bigger than this guy and has thicker arms and so naturally the elbows are going to be a bit raised. The dude's just salty at the ease of wich Leroy moved the bar.
Also grips vary from person to person with literally every lift known to man, why should the strict curl be any different.

Its westley’s structure compared to the top Olympian’s, it’s not the the best flowing and “V” taper compared to the others, also his detail isn’t there, he’s lean but not grainy

The platform is narrow, the bar is handed to him, the bar is shaped differently, the head is not on the platform, the shoulder has too much play. Come on man! For those who break world records, that specific "bar" should be shelved for such occasions in the future.
Brandon is ripped. Came into the olympia right on, and it was only big ramy tightening up in the evening session that beat brandon. 2 nd to ramy 2 years running. But going from 2019 brandon should be very proud of himself, 1 st , 2 nd, 2 nd. And the 2021 olympia at 1 point was 50/50 between himself + big ramy. If Brandon, big Ramy and Hadi all stay on peak that 3 are going to be hard to break into. But its great for mens bodybuilding that the competition is so good in depth. And big respect to all bodybuilders who work so hard to get everything they can in top condition for the big events. I hope brandon wins either the Arnold or the olympia 2022. And i hope Hadi wins 1 of them also. Thanks nick. Great insight as always.
Dennis could prob do 300lbs with this set of rules.
