Wish I had friends, especially lifting buddies or people who can be considered polymaths, that I can talk to about this subject. Lost my Grandma 12-26-13 and still effects me greatly till this day. Maybe because she was the only person in my life who genuinely made me happy.

The day I found out a good friend of mine had died, I went about my daily routine in a bit of a fog. Numb. I wasn't able to wrap my head around it. Then I hit the gym in the afternoon. All those things I couldn't process mentally got worked out physically. I was sore for days afterwards, but I was feeling something again. And that helped. It was a small thing but it helped.

Probably the best and unifying video for all Raskols. Fantastic message about turning negatives into postives. Great work, bro! Omar "Motivational Speaker" Isuf #dontletyourdreamsbedreams #justdoit

This was definitely something I needed to see; since I was diagnosed with a rare connective tissue cancer in 2013, things haven't been easy to say the least. Between chemo treatments and surgery and recovery afterwards, I initially did crossfit for a while, only to get into powerlifting in time forward. It's been about 2 years since I started, and with my recent re-diagnosis of the same cancer, this has been a saving grace for me. Between the people I surrounded myself with and pushing towards the goals I set, it's been such a positive change for me. Omar, thank you, for this video, reigniting my spirit again

My dad passed away 8 months ago after 6 months of battle with lung cancer and whole bunch of other stuff… Next 6 months I was in deep depression, suicidal thoughts, but not that I would harm myself, it was just those thoughts. I was doing nothing but going to the gym, destroying the weights, sleeping for like 15h per day and eating . Haven't studied at all and for the last 2 months I'm trying to get myself back up on the feet.
Lifting is what kept me sane and alive, so when I say "gym is life", I mean it wholeheartedly.
Thank you for this video.
