4:41 what a intense pic
One of the all time greats.
Unfortunately not a lot of people know him.
Yes, if you keep working the basics and are not afraid to test yourself on Squats or deadlifts, you can maintain your muscle into old age.
Extreme moderation?
U always have great very interesting videos respect from Australia
supplements are also drugs
GOALS 🙌🙌🙌
what a load of crap
I enjoyed him on the Beverly Hillbillies vs Granny was epic !
Incredible
Draper Dave
The only reason he never won the Olympia is because Joe weeder pretty well ran him out of the sport when Schwarzenegger came around. Dave draper liked working out but he did not like to compete Schwarzenegger ate up the limelight and was a typical pro athlete douche. It's old magazines and that's all the Olympia was about not who was the best bodybuilder
This is much better look than today's monsters
Wow..75 years…
Thanks
Don’t make Waves was a okay movie with Sharon Tate, and Tony Curtis. Dave was good for the scenes they gave him. I believe Chet Yorton was also in it. You have to remember, back then it was rare to see a body builder in film, and there was no internet, YouTube, nothing but magazines!
DAVE DRAPER WAS KNOWN AS GOLDEN BOY OF CALIFORNIA AND HIGHLY RATED BY ARNOLD
Dave Draper
he also did cameos on tv
Steroids or not Draper is an awesome specimen.
Natural is good for not doing competition
Who was that incredible brunette laying next to him in that shot? Just gorgeous.
At 4:48
Arnold had a better bodybuilding look but Dave looked like an action figure.
He used roids in moderation and still looked good cause he had ass fucking great genetics
He was also in an episode of the Beverly Hillbillies, playing himself.
He’s on the Monkees (MeTV) today, Episode: “I was a 99 pound weakling”….. Pretty dam impressive!! I’m glad he stuck with it in his later years!! He’s probably in better shape now than most guys in their 20s and 30s…..😊
I am not Dave's age but can remember back seeing him in ads on the back cover of comic books when I was a kid. To this day, no other lifter so personified the healthy beach lifestyle of that era like the Blonde Bomber.
is he on roids now? or "TRT"?
You need to get Mr. Draper to pose now. 75 is no longer old. He look terrific! Thank you for posting this video.
He played on the Beverly hillbillies show also that was where I first saw him!!
He was 1 of my idols in the early days!
2:36 he looks like he could just snap your neck in a second.
Dave was also on the Monkeys TV show, awesome bodybuilder, wonder why no one is trying to get a interview with him ,I bet he has story 's no one has heard before of the golden area
To look like that at 75 !!!
you see Dave doing hack Squats, lifting the back end of the bus he lives in, in "Don't Make Waves". his girlfriend in the movie, would go inside the bus, and grab things as they started to fall, as he did his "HACKS"!
Looks like he could still kick some ass.
Forearms
Dave Draper, Chuck Sipes, Bill Pearl, Larry Scott, Frank Zane, Sergio Oliva, and Chet Yorton are the bodybuilders that were in the muscle mags in the late 60's. Mr. America, Strength and Health, Iron Man, Muscular Development, and Muscle and Fitness were the magazines you would see in stores at that time. Good to see Draper in still doing it in his seventies.
He doesn't ALWAYS look like that.
He looks like Mr. Rogers until it's time for a contest and photo-shoot; then he hits the steroids, the gym and the buffet, and poses for 10 seconds.
And bodybuilding has been sh*t ever since the late 70s
