You forgot to mention Lou Ferrigno – he was at least as tall as Dolph, if not taller, so it's possible that his height may not have been a deal-breaker.

Why would he want to be a bodybuilder? He had a better physique, with actual mobility.
More like a fitness model,he is way to tall to achieve any significant bodybuilding success other than some low/mid level competitions
Why did Arnolds career take off but not Dolphs? Arnold had Conan and Dolph had He-Man. Is it because Arnolds Conan made money and Dolphs didnt?
I agree…He-man was his best. He looked pretty damn good. I do believe he is around 6'5 but who knows. He is tall either way. He is also a very smart guy and extremely well spoken.

Nick! I've met Lundgren a few times as well – he's every bit of 6'5 even at his current age – I am 6'1 and he's got right about 4 inches on me. Also – I know jack sh!t about bodybuilding – but keep in mind he never trained to be a bodybuilder and he had to stay "functional" as a martial artist. During his time from 79-90s he competed in regional and world karate competitions where he wont titles in England, Australia, and a couple others – along with being the captain for the Swedish olympic team. He also was in the Swedish marine corps at the coastal ranger battalion – and yes he has his Masters in Chem engineering, had a fullbright scholaship to MIT, etc etc. So I think you're spot on – given what we KNOW he wouldnt have been a stellar bodybuilder – but we also know he was highly athletic, had strict training regiments, and had tons of self discipline – I think he would fall short on bodybuilding because of being 100% natural (most people I know in martial arts use it as a lifestyle deal and dont smoke, dope, or drink) – so I think he wouldn't have been very competitive against guys who take aids

His best physique in my opinion was in the film red scorpion he was not too big and not too small definitely a look the ladies would love

You should do a vid on Carl Weathers. I think he had the best physique out of anyone in the Rocky movies maybe not the biggest but his muscle bellies are so big and round and on a very compact athletic frame.
