I am not a big fan of training arms either. When I first got started lifting yea I will admit I liked it and I thought that it was all about arms. Now days on the other hand it's all about how much I squat and my other compound movements. I will still hit arms but I don't care about having a specific day for arms. Plus other compound movements hit your bi's and tri's anyway.

I hate training arms as well

I almost stopped doing curls. The biceps works during pullups, this should be almost enough. Also do ab work very rarely. Screw all that.

I hate training biceps, I do mainly to avoid tearing them when doing compound movements that put a lot of stress on them. I don't mind training Triceps though 😉

I think Timbahwolf said he never does direct arm work you can look way more impressive by doing upper body compound movements like Dips, Pull ups, Deadlifts, Rows.

I've only been training 10 months (upper body six, due to injury), but I can definitely say that I don't enjoy training biceps too much. Triceps on the other hand are my favorite body part to train. Weighted tricep dips just feel incredible. Especially when maintaining reps, while increasing the weight by 2.5 pounds every week or two.

I don't like training "arms" in isolation either, except for forearm work. But that is mainly because I see it as fun additional activity and usually do it in the form of trying to hang from a pullup bar one-handed for max time.

I only train arms so I can do other lifts better. I'm convinced some people can bench and OHP well only because their arms are so huge and powerful. Plus I have Stephen Hawking arms naturally, the weakest link.

10 months off from curls and never been happier. chins and rows do the job while also making your back huge.

I'm the opposite I love biceps training and chest, but I dread performing leg extensions, and lunges for my legs. Whenever I do legs its like i'm lugging my body over to the weights to go perform my workout for the day.

Fuck arms, they're so overrated as long as they are proportional and not inhibiting your presses and pulls then it is all good

You can over train your arms for 30 days in a row to gain an extra inch depending on your genetics

I agree I've been training pretty consistently for over 1 year and doing bicep curls is a problem for me. I don't feel that mind muscle connection and I feel tightness on my shoulders when I'm fatigued. Also it's not like the compound lifts where you can train using percentages. You can do a set of squat or deads at an RPE of 7 and its still beneficial (i.e., cleaning up your form, or gain more confidence when gong for bigger lifts). But with arms you have to go all out all the time otherwise you won't see results. You can't do 4 sets of 3 reps. High volume and short break periods is primarily needed to get a good arm workout.

My least favorite is back exercises, because my forearms and hands fatigue fast from my weak grip.

life progress July 21, 2018 - 2:20 pm

I rather train isolating forearms then my biceps. …I do underhand grip rows, chinups, CGinverted row, reverse curls…but next week maybe through in a few sets for biceps onced a week or so.
