After seeing this I just don't think Wesley Vissers can compete with these physiques

Wesleys free posting was freaking awesome and I hope he learned from the Olympia to dial in his conditioning after the pre-judging. I still dont think its enough though, conditioning wise, or it might be the tan. Then he needs another year to grow the legs a bit more, but then he might be too heavy.
Still, if this was a posing competition he would wipe the floor! Just an impressive sight to behold! Here’s hoping he will come back even better!

Wesley looking blockier next to Steve. That waist is too big to get that flow. Conditioning was an issue.
wesley's classic pose of choice made me think of that scene in pumping iron where Arnold advises the young lifter to open his arms more because if not it makes you look small. I felt that was the problem for Wesley here as well. He looked small, his lats didn't flare out enough, and his overall pose seemed a bit unimposing. It doesn't really work for him.

Why do I feel like most of these "classic" physiques don't even look classic at all? I wish the division would actually stipulate judging criteria conducive to people replicating the look of that golden era. Lot of these guys just look like small 212 bodybuilders.

Wesley needs to stop training at his girlfriends crossfit gym and join a real hardcore bb gym. Also he doesn't kill himself with his diet. He needs a 2 year bulk to build overall density. His height is a real disadvantage against all of these short dudes. I'm not sure he can ever fill his frame enough and stay within the weight limit.
Sorry but I couldn't take my eyes off Wesley the whole time. When he nails it he'll be winning for years

Congratulations to the winner, but honestly Steve Laureus is unbeatable. Never seen something like this, maybe only Bumstead and Aynsley in their best shape could face him.
Upper body wise, Wesley was looking very good! Maybe lacked a little bit of detail on the back, but was still looking good. The real problem here is his legs, the tear drop isn't quite there yet though his hamstrings looked improved! His condition got a lot better but he still needs to get to the next level to compete with the other guys!
Courage Opara definitely confused everybody on that show by taking 4th place twice
wesleys condition was as good if not better them some of the guys in the top 6. still seems like the judges havent got a clue of the exact body type they are looking for. they gave a downsized 212 BB first place

This whole line up wasn't that great. I think sadik should have made this his last classic show he would have won this one even with no abs lol he looked huge back down in physique but sadly could not compete with everyone else's mid section
Wasn't expecting the Arnold Classic to judge like the Olympia. Thought Wesley would have ranked higher. Clearly the judges are looking for more of mid 80's bodybuilding look here, not "classic". Wesley needs to get that memo this time around and add a bit more size to his legs and a bit depth to his back. His lats are thick and his width is great however.

The classic physique class is headed towards a small open class. People saying Vissers needs more leg size, well classic physique isn't so much about creating an X shape like the open. Look at the golden era, they didnt have freaky quad sweep. Vissers looked similar to Laureus who got 2nd, yet he gets 10th? Really? Like at the 2018 Olympia, David Hoffman had a great classic physique yet got robbed. These judges need to specify what it is they are looking for, because its definitely not looking like classic physique.
