I’d go as far to say that all these competitors are not athletes but would be more so considered artists. Traditionally, artists are under appreciated and underpaid. They suffer for their passion. It’s what makes it so commendable that they compete at all.
That’s why I decided not to compete I make more at my job than that and all the food and supplements cost more than that would be worth
Until they start drawing major crowds in, the prize money will be skimpy! It should definitely be better, but it will come. The big, bad steroid-eating druggies Who come in between 250- 300 lbs. will continue to draw the people, because we love the shock factor of the ultra freaks!

I think the prize money is so low for a reason, they don't want to cannibalise interest in their main competition. I would not be surprised if they don't even let Nick increase the amount by 5k, hat's off for the effort though!

Have your own prize show Nick, judge the top Classic Physique competitions for yourself, maybe even get fans voting possibly, but that can go tits up so stick to judging yourself. Then award a prize to who you pick as the winner overall for the year.

I agree, one way to discourage some people is to present that piddley ass amount. You would think Arnold would push the classic physique given his comments about the bubble guts and lack of symmetry. He could have really done something more for the classics to send a message. Oh well… Looking forward to Wesley Vissers to take the classic in EU.
