Center – Day 7 – Flow – Yoga With Adriene

by YouTube Team

The thing about integrating flow into your practice is you really get right back to the very foundation which is allowing the breath to fuel the action.
Begin to be disciplined about this on the mat and watch the myriad of ways in which your breath will show up to serve and guide you off the mat.

Hop into something comfy and let’s flow.

Today’s offering is all about brain, body, and spirit connection.

Let me know how it goes for you in the comment section below!

Flow has been my favorite so far. Loved the continuation of movement 💜

This was my favourite practice yet! I love a good flow that repeats the same poses, I can work on really getting to know the poses and finding something new every time. I also was feeling strong today, and my hands didn't slip at all in downward dog, usually one of my biggest challenges 💪Center Day 7, January 2023

Tough time showing up today. I am a day "behind" but hanging in there. Last year I got behind and then gave up somewhere around day 20. My goal this year is to finish even if my "month" is a little longer than others. Love reading about those of you doing it live! Even asynchronous I still feel connected though.

I can hardly ever keep up with the inhale and exhale and that frustrates me xD Am I sick or something? I LOVE THIS CHALLENGE

I'm proud I did this. Struggling with severe anxiety and panic disorder…it's been a very rocky week. But showing up daily for this gives me a small boost. I didn't feel like doing it and am so glad I did.

This went by so quickly 🙂 Going forward a few days behind, but that's alright. Hoping to catch up later in the week 🙂

Remember when in a twist she would say smear your belly with jelly to open up? I had flashbacks during this sequence :))) 《3

Showed up here two days behind because of anxiety and endometriosis pain. I am very proud of myself for not blaming me for a small break. Almost three years of regular practice with Adriene, and it is the first time I truly feel I am listening to my body's need to rest. Giving myself some more love took time. Have a beautiful day everyone ! Namaste 🌼

My traditional "Thank you" for this practice. Thank you for making it short enough, so that it can be squeezed in everyday routine, and it's easy to start. Thank you for making us better everyday – as physically as mentally. Namaste 🙏

I'm 2 days behind because I got sick, but back at it! After 7 days I can really feel more mobility in my lower back, I've got degenerating disc's and am always stiff, love this program so far! Thank U 🙂

I love this build on each practice from the one before. I'm noticing such a benefit in my feeling of centeredness AND in strength and fluidity despite already doing yoga for over 2 years. This is just what I needed, and I am so glad I'm participating day by day. AND, I love reading the comments and how supportive this community is! I love reading that others are starting their yoga journey for themselves and moving through all that comes up physically, mentally and emotionally through this practice. It's SO much more than just physical movements and poses. This is beautiful. ❤️

Week 1: I gotta say, my body was still really sore from yesterday. But! I have made it a whole week. I've stuck to it. Idk if it's weird to say, but I feel like I've been more productive this week after doing the practice in the morning. Despite feeling sore, I find I have more energy. This is really exciting because my fibro's biggest secondary symptom is lack of energy. One step closer in my journey of health!

Thank you Day 7. Today I had to let go a little more, and allow myself to modify poses to support an old shoulder injury. It takes humility to listen to my body. Thank you for holding this space, Adriene. 🙂

Im not really sure what happened but after doing this practice at night 2 nights ago, I woke up needing to release a lot of emotions held in me from losing my dog a few weeks ago. This practice knocked lose BIG emotions I’ve been trying to spiritually bypass and made me grapple with the incredibly big and intense feelings that come with grief. Idk if I’m grateful for it yet… yesterday was a hard day of big emotions. Which made the melt practice perfectly timed for me in the progression of this program. I’m laying in bed avoiding getting up to go do day 9, but the connection between mental and physical was so crazy I had to come back and comment on this video.

Thank you Adrienne for guiding me to the mind body soul connection. I’m sure I’ll be grateful for it soon. For now I’m just appreciating getting to remember my little Tito and and times we shared following your and Benji here in our home. 💕
