Cardio or Weights? which would burn more calories? Those a lot of arguments for and against both cardio and weights for fat loss or calories burned.

In this video I do a 30 minute cardio session and track my calories, and I also do a 30 minute weight training session to track my calories for comparison.

For my weight training, I went with lighter weights so I could last the entire 30 minutes with minimal rest time. It was a challenge raising my heart rate but keep watching the video to see how it all went.

Let’s keep in mind that when you weight train, your body will continue to burn calories as it rebuilds/repairs the damaged muscle tissue… which is literally what you said at the end of the video as I was typing. It just depends on your goal. Having a little bit of both is best in my opinion.

I wish Chloe would have shown how she is tracking her workout on her watch. I never know what to track mine as when I do her videos. I've been using Functional Fitness Training because it seems the most accurate, but would Mixed Cardio be more appropriate? I don't know maybe it doesn't matter that much. My friend and I did an experiment, and both walked a mile inside. She tracked the walk as an outdoor walk while I tracked mine as indoor walk and it was completely different on how it counted calories burned.

I heard that cardio burns more calories than weights but for fat loss, you should go for lifting than cardio.😉

I do cardio 30min (treadmill or bicycling to gym) and then 30-45min weight lifting. After this ill do one of chloes workouts, one tabata abs session and some stretching. Works really well for me, i get bored so easily. Some say that you should do weight lifting before cardio because you need the strenght with weights but i really need all of it with treadmill.

at the end of the day it does not matter, whatever you like doing is gonna burn more calories, because you will do it more often and more intensly.

I always find excuses for skipping cardio, but I always find opportunities for more weight training

I somehow wish my heart rate would be like this… minimum in your workouts are 160bpm… my highest was around 195bpm… and damn I was done after that one xD

Strength training for losing fat. Depends on your goal. You can lose fat in cardio if you do it slowly, but for a longer time.

Hey guys, since I deal with myopia cylindric and astigmatism eye, for those who do not understand, I have problems with my eyes). Anyway the doctor does not allow me to lift weights at all, bc it is very bad for my eyes.
So i have been doing cardio from Chloe ting workouts, but i have been not loosing weight or fat, and i have been lately thinking that it’s because i never lifted weights in my life, can that be the reason?

Honeslty speaking! As someone who did exercise since lockdown season 1, Cardio only burns calories and builds stamina. The moment you eat something you love, it comes back
Workouts really changed my life. I look like I do exercise even after I eat all kinds of food I love (I also do interminant fasting)

The problem with cardio for me is that id love to engulf everything after it and i dont have that kind of self control so i tend to just “walk” for cardio which is not bad at all however for resistance doesnt make me as hungry so it keep me well
Edit: also strength training keeps u burning calories 48-72 hrs post workout unlike cardio which stops about 15-30 mins post workout so personally i prefer strength training

Very informative video. I do strength training (Cardio n weights ) n believe me I sweat like as if I just had a shower. Crossjacks n burpee squat with weights (2+2 kg) n push-ups with weights is more than enough to burn calories.

my fitbit doesn't track HIIT workouts very well either. I just tell myself it doesn't matter what the technology says, my body IS burning calories, my heart IS pumping harder
