Insulin sensitivity, insulin use and GH use are all associated with visceral fat storage, AND fluid retention in the gut and organs. The quickest way to restore insulin sensitivity is to cut all carbs and fast absorbing protein AND run DNP (not a recommendation). Anavar use and/or Winstrol will help burn the visceral fat.
This is all super dangerous and will kill you instantly so don't ever do it and also I'm not a doctor.

Ive seen a few videos like this showing that it can be reversed. Which tells me its not the GH, because if there organs were growing then it could not be reversible. Its gotta be the huge amounts of food and the insulin. Bodybuilders need to cut the insulin out, it makes you look like shit, and its dangerous.

Well, Sergio Oliva, Frank Zane, Steve Reeves and, yes, even Mike Mentzer could all do the vacuum pose while carrying great physiques. Today's freaks just want size, size, size. Just t hink if Phil Heath had trained his abs better how awesome he would have been at the 2018 Olympia. And back in my young days I was also guilty of just training for mass..

What's preventing competition judges from awarding fewer points to the bubble-gut body builders?

Mandatory vacuum pose is great idea

Being that I played a musical instrument when I was younger, my diaphragm is a strong muscle. I can't suck it in. So if they made the vacuum a manitoy I would never win.

Great video, this is the best explanation and possible answer to a worsening problem. Guys that can’t hit a mandatory pose can not win, so if the vacuum was one you would be knocked out of the top placing. 👍

I think hgh in reasonable> doses is alright plus for those who do some crazy heavy ass weight that recovery and muscle tear factor is huge when you doing shows so big. Also for those with muscle injuries as well. Hgh does yes slightly compete insulin receptors but just taking insulin is super powerful plus I’d rather not shut my life/system down or play with diabetes if possible!

It's also like you said: he trained his abdominals. When you train other muscles really heavy, you can distend your gut just because you're not focusing on keeping it in the right shape. That's what powerlifters and strongmen do. I'm not say that's all it, but I gotta think that's part of it.

High carb intake or gear (IGF-1) –> increased insulin and IGF-1 –> non specific increase of anabolism –> increase of (first) fat surrounding the intestines (mesentric fat) then muscle gains.

Therefore, the reversal seen above may likely be due to reduced food intake, or IGF-1 usage.

mandatory vacume pose will not only produce better looking bodybuilders but will save lives because there is less incentive to become a 300 pound behemoth and all the problems that come with attaining that size.

vergedrums April 22, 2019 - 4:10 pm

I'm thinking a combination of bad gut health (too much protein or antibiotics, not enough probiotics or fermented foods/drink) and/or GH/insulin is the problem. Bodybuilders have been eating a TON and carbing up for many decades, and never have we seen a field of competitors with such a prevalent issue with gut size.

agree ..having the bubble gut defeats the whole reason for body building . you develop all this muscle to look good and than you have this huge gut ,…ridiculous …peace out

I'm not a physician first and foremost, but it seems to me that Palumboism is related to insufficient pancreatic function based on this from non-bodybuilders –

https://patient.info/forums/discuss/pancreatitis-and-air-bubbles-digestion-problems-565675

When a non-diabetic individual takes insulin, that also screws up the function of the pancreas. Your comment about overeating is interesting, but you've seen those professional eaters who are really skinny and have ridiculously high metabolisms when consuming a primarily carb-heavy, competitive diet.

Then again, I might be full of poo.

Make the vacuum pose mandatory! Since the abdominals is the central focus of a mans fitness, give it the maximum
Pts possible..Bodybuilders are neglecting it, coz judges r tolerating it..Enough with these ugly mass monsters.,symmetry ,firm abs, and narrow hips prevalent during d goldenera much better…

SAHASTRAJIT SINGH April 5, 2020 - 11:46 am

It doesn't matter if all your other parts are complete ,
If your gut is bloated to an extent that it draws way too much attention,
It defeats the whole purpose .

Even if you ask a layman to draw a bodybuilder , it'll have wide shoulders and a tapered waist. Its just facts
