Excellent video Lex, it made me evaluate my own lifting techniques on the 'big three lifts' and will be re-setting my technique accordingly to maintain safety and proper form. Saved this video to favourites! A good reminder that the ego can take over and ruin good form.

I don't like going to straps either, but over under grip does eventually lead to imbalances even if you Focus on not rotating that can impact other lifts. You should try hook grip it does wonders!

Lex, I noticed you're wearing a brace just below one of your knees. Is that to support the patella and does it help? I've had quadricep tendonitis since January. It kills me not being able to squat and deadlift. Twice in the last year I've had to lay off the lower body exercises just as I was about to set new PB's.

Lex, I do ultra marathon kayak racing like the MR 340 but have been watching your channel for the last year or so. I just wanted to say thanks for all the motivation and advice you post. Very different goals but your channel has really helped my results kept me focused. Thanks man!

the first few sets with the lighter weight looked spot on man! The last few sets looked okay too but as you said earlier in the vid, hips went up a tad too early mate

I don't have alot of time to go to the gym each week so I was wondering if it would be beneficial to incorporate a day like this every week or would it be to taxing on my body? Do you have any set-rep recomendation, should I pyramid up on each of the 3 lifts or go for 3 heavy sets on them? Cheers mate.

26:24 firing gluten early and actually performing more of a stiff leg. Retracting shoulders on dead can also tear the muscles in that region too!

With deadlifting I rarely put the bar down completely in between reps, unless I need to reset, should I be starting from that 'dead' weight point each rep?
I get as close to the ground as possible for the full range of motion. When I say close I get under an inch to the floor

Maybe someone can help me: I recently started training at the gym again (did everything at home before) and I tried some variations on the leg press (like lying on my side and only using one leg) and really liked it. One of the trainers basically told me that's BS and won't do me much good. Question: Do I listen to him (because I assume he knows what he's talking about) or just keep doing what I'm doing as long as it feels good for me?

Of all the videos I've come across, he covers all the key points, perfectly and most efficiently, especially when he talks about the mentality while working out. He tends to keep it simple and effective. That's what makes his videos so good. A big thumbs up mate! Keep up the good work!

Huge respect for you Lex!! Not very long ago I have started following you. The biggest addiction in all your videos for me is, you talk real. I am a middle aged man struggling to keep myself fit. To break the monotony of the same movements in the gym and seeing those big muscles of health freak guys every day are extremely boring and confidence breaker for me.
Two days back i completed the full body workout with your guided video on 5 second tempo with light weights. it was WOW. A real time experience of getting crushed with light weights. You are so true and relevant in your demonstrations. Looking forward to follow you continuously and getting inspired. God bless
