Left hooks are so difficult for me in orthodox stance. Nowhere near as powerful as the right hook. Perfect timing 👌

Do you recommend lifting weights and then once you can’t do anymore start punching the bag. Will that help increase punch power or speed in any way?.

Nobody really likes to talk about the importance of "foot werk" when it comes to fighting in general, but boxing 🥊 in particular. Maybe its too much cardio for people 🤷🏾‍♂️? You can't hit what you can't touch.

Make sure if you are practicing boxing and lifting you are not only working rear delts hard but externally rotating exercise. And stretching and externally rotating your shoulder. Rear delt flys with your palms facing behind you is great but you can also hit them and need to to stretch your should with your palms facing in front of you. And externally rotating your shoulder. As well as lateral raises not just turning your palms down which is great but turning your palms in front of you and to the sky. This is is crucial as well as adding in a couple other exercises and stretches. Also stretch and break up the tissue in your traps and and front delts. If you don’t do this you will for sure end up with shoulder and neck injury’s. This is why Floyd gets a massage after every training session obviously most of us don’t want to spend the money on a full time masseuse lol. So get a lacrosse ball to break the tissue up. Left hooks are very good but you can only practice them for so long before you damage your body.
